My wife loves to entertain, and my role generally is to set up and maintain the bar for parties. Until now, I have not had a great option for making ice and cold wine and beer available to guests. Enter the Sol insulated beverage tub! This big, beautiful beverage tub looks incredibly professional and impressive when compared with my previous efforts to provide ice, beer, and wine to guests. Though the box indicated that the tub is Sol’s small model, it actually is fairly large and appropriately sized for a party of 20 or so guests. The tub can hold about six of the large 1.5 liter wine bottles and even more of the small bottles. I haven’t tested, but I think it could easily hold at least two six packs of beer and the requisite ice. It is perfectly sized for the parties that we typically host in our home.The sleek, polished stainless steel tub instantly elevated the appearance and functionality of my bar. It truly is gorgeous, with highly polished, almost mirror-like sides and interior. Even my wife, who isn’t easily impressed, was very appreciative of the beverage tub’s appearance.To test the tub’s functionality and performance, I emptied about half of my ice maker’s contents into the tub—which took up only about a quarter of the tub. (It’s big!) After two hours in a 70-degree room, very little of the ice had melted despite the wide open top (1st picture). The next morning—some 14 hours later—there was still some ice remaining along with a great deal of ice-cold water (2nd picture). If there had been beverages in the container, they would have been at the perfect temperature. That’s definitely plenty of performance for our placid, Medicare-generation parties!I will note that after two hours, there was a bit of condensation under the tub (3rd picture). This surprised me, as I expected the tub to function more like an insulated thermos or Yeti-type container with no external condensation at all. Still, it was an ice cold metal tub with an open top in a slightly humid 70-degree room, so some condensation should be expected. With this in mind, however, I would caution against placing the tub directly on a polished wood surface that could be damaged by a bit of condensation.Overall, I’m very pleased and impressed with this product and almost look forward to our next party.

This stainless-steel beverage tub isa great.Put it out at parties or picnics or anytime you have guests and need cold drinks on tap, fill it with ice and your favorite drinks and leave them out for everyone.This is one of those things you know about, see sometimes but forget about, when I saw it, I had to order it as I have always wanted a large beverage tub like this yet small enough to put it away with the pots and pans.well made, super high quality and just the right size.
