The shape offered just the right amount of support, especially in those first few weeks when even the slightest movement felt like a lot. I recently had laparoscopic colorectal surgery and after reading some of the reviews I decided to try this to help protect my healing abdomen from my playful cat. My young cat likes to use my bed as a trampoline in the middle of the night before laying down to cuddle and I wasn’t sure how I’d deal with her around my abdomen after I got out of the hospital. This truly worked for that purpose. I was very cautious, but after she walked on top of the pillow while I was wearing it while laying down, I realized I barely felt her weight on me. I know it may seem silly, but for other pet lovers out there I wanted to share that this did indeed allow me to heal and protect my abdomen, while still allowing my cat to sleep with me. For reference, my cat weighs about 10 pounds.

This pillow is an absolute must! It fits the area of the body perfectly, provided enough pressure without causing any pain, and is soft enough to lay your arms on it for additional support. The quality is exceptional and comes with an ice/heat pad - I used for heat exclusively. Helps to ease pain with its pressure and fit over the incision sites.

I am almost 3 weeks post op and this pillow has been a lifesaver. It has not left my arms! I recommend it to absolutely everyone going through any kind of abdominal surgery

I purchased this for my hysterectomy and I had no regrets. I received so many compliments and people wanted to know where I purchased it from when I was walking in the hallways of the hospital. I would buy the pillow with the strap for your neck So you can be hands free. I used a walker for the first week after surgery so it was convenient to have the neck strap while I was holding on to the walker. This pillow was literally my best friend after surgery. I would hug it when I had to cough which was a killer. There’s even pockets where I would put my phone and other items in it. Add it to your cart you won’t regret it

I did not know about the existence of this product, but was told by a nurse at the hospital. This product is perfect in all the right ways! The pillow is very soft and provides comfort/support in the right places. The pocket for the heat pack was a godsend and provided hours of comfort. I would highly recommend to others as I truly believe it assisted my healing.

This pillow has been great for my recent full hysterectomy. The place for the icepack insert has been perfect, as I can also adjust the icepack to go where needed, across my incisions or the lower part of my abdomen/pelvic area.I had it in the car passenger seat, ready for when I was finished with procedure. It worked great going over bumps in the road (gotta love the new england pot holes) and great for over all self comfort. The strap has a part that has adjustable padding to go on the back of the neck, so thats a very thoughtful touch.It is soft & comforting, so I will be definitely using this afterwards and paying it forward when someone else may need it.Definitely a bonus with the pocket where I can place my phone, meds and especially my snacks I snuck in.Perfect purchase!

The pillow is not as pictured. The pillow does not extend out on the bottom to rest your arms as shown in the picture. I purchased this for post op hysterectomy. The pillow did come in handy but I do not recommend getting the one with the clips. I ended up cutting those off. Overall the quality is good and this really does help post op.
