I thought wood handle broom would be more comfortable to hold because the plastic end of other brooms hurt the palm of my hand and cause blisters. The handle on these is very rough and is as bad as the plastic ends.The photo shows stiff bristles, and being horse hair it seemed they would be a good quality. The bristles on the Broom i got aren't even stiff enough to hold the Broom up off the floor.

You need to be creative to assemble. Broom handle does NOT fit into pre-drilled hole designed to receive end of broom handle. No problem-O. Just pared down the threads on end of handle (a whittling job, so to speak), and, Bingo, shoved handle into the broom head. Then, oh, woe, no hanger on broom end. So, I have a choice. I can store broom upside down or upright and eventually mash/bend bristles. No way. I drilled small hole on end of handle, inserted a wire & closed same. Viola, new, wonderful, wee, little broom now hangs in place.
