I received this book the day after ordering it. It was in perfect condition when I opened the mailer. This book has gorgeous, unique patterns that will be a joy to stitch. All patterns are in color and easy to read. Very happy to have this book.

Having stitched a few of Max Pigeon's designs previously, I didn't hesitate to pre-order his first cross stitch book, and I'm so glad I did. It's a beautiful, high-quality book filled with wonderful designs and comprehensive instructions. Even if you've never cross stitched before, Max has you covered with everything you need to know about materials and techniques. I've just started Mothly Crew and, though I'm using a lighter fabric than shown in the book, I'm very pleased with how it looks and how easy it was to follow the directions. The professional printing on thick paper along with the gorgeous pictures make this an ideal book for gift-giving. I know I'm going to enjoy many happy hours stitching from "In the Forest."

This designer is new to me, and I could NOT be happier with this purchase! His designs are all so beautiful, but even more impressive is the care and thought he put into creating not just a book of patterns, but a book of information and art. He includes little "Did you know?" tidbits on each page, talking about the animals and their habitats. His photo vignettes are done with thought and care, and caused me to be even more excited about the patterns and stitching them up. The biggest problem I have is, which one to do first?? Such a beautiful book! His love of animals and their environments is obvious in this labor of love.

There are 25 fabulous patterns in this book. I'm going to stitch this entire book! It's that good! I can't wait for another Pigeon coop publication. This is beginner friendly. His art style is simple yet timeless. Love it!!

This book received lots of advance favorable reviews and they were all right! While all of the charts have to do with the outdoors, some are playful, some are meditative, some are fun, some are more masculine, all are pretty small (in my opinion) and easy, straight forward stitches! Highly recommend!

This cross stitch pattern book is also an art book. The designs have all been stitched and framed and photographed and we get to see the masterful finishes for each. The patterns are beautiful and approachable. I hope this and another recent release from the same publisher become the standard for cross stitch art publications.

I love the variety of projects. It was easy to learn cross stitch using this book. The projects are small and easy to complete, which helps someone like me keep focus and not lose sight of the end result!

I came across Max Pigeon on Instagram and his designs caught my eye. I decided to take a risk and preordered his book. I am blown away by the quality and beauty of his first book. I love that his introduction to cross stitch and the notions he suggests are readily available and affordable for all. The patterns are gorgeous and easy to read. I love how he uses simple methods to frame his pieces. I look forward to stitching each of the patterns and displaying them in my home.

I’m beyond thrilled with Max’s book! It’s rare that I find a craft book I want to create everything in, but this is the one! I’m just struggling with which pattern to start first LOL! I love the nature aspect of his designs. They really speak to me. I plan to buy more copies for stitchy friends and family who don’t already have a copy. This is truly a fabulous, beautifully photographed book in the perfect size that you need on your shelf whether you’re new to stitching or a seasoned pro. Well done Max!! A truly lovely collection of inspirational forest scenes, creatures and landscapes. Not only are there 25 patterns in this book to get your cross stitch creative juices flowing, but the charts are clear and easy to follow and the photography is beautiful too. I cannot wait to get Stitching some of these designs for my friends and family as well as keeping some back to decorate our home. Well done Max Pigeon, I can't wait to see what designs are yet to come.

Pigeon Coop Designs is one of my favourite designers for cross stitch and this book is lovely. Would highly recommend this book whether you're a beginner or more experienced stitcher. I'm about to start the first pattern and am really looking forward to seeing it done. Well done Max!

This book is filled with easy to understand patterns. I adore the designs and being on the kindle so easy to zoom into the pattern. I am currently stitching the winter tree.

Very pleased when the book arrived. I pre-ordered it so really had no idea what it would be like. There are so many great patterns, and way more patterns than I expected! I loved so many of them. In fact, I started one within minutes of receiving the book because I loved it so much I had to stitch it right away - before I even finished looking through the rest of the book! Charts are full colour, which is not my preference, but I found it easy to follow, without needing to make a working copy. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone. Simple enough patterns for beginners to follow, yet detailed enough designs to satisfy veteran stitchers as well. I’ve been stitching for almost 40 years and I enjoyed every stitch of the first pattern I made from this book, and I plan on stitching many, many more of them!
