Not perfect, but really great sprinkler
After reading terrible reviews on so many other sprinklers of this kind, decided to take a chance on these because it looked like it was made with quality material. Bought 6 to water a big area we are seeding. Been using them for just a week now and they are fantastic. Very solid build quality and all 6 spray very consistently. Only negatives are: • the adjustment on top for a shorter spray distance aren't very effective and without screwing that down, it shoots out and covers mostly a circle about 30 feet out where the bulk of the water is landing. I overcame this by overlapping the coverage area with multiple sprinklers but it might present a challenge if you're just using one of these. The adjustment works okay but not great. However, I think this would be the case with ANY pulse sprinkler of this kind and the huge positive to this one is that it won't break. The other negative is no documentation.... you'll have to figure out how to adjust the size of your arc on your own. It's easy - there are two clamps on the brass fitting and you just move them till you're happy. Overall I'm very happy with these and I doubt there's anything better out there for pulse sprinkler.

Good for huge expanses, but needs proper instruction pamphlet.
Probably great if you have a huge expanse of lawn or flowerbeds, but I could not adjust it to a small enough coverage not to be wasting gallons watering the driveway and garden path. It also didn't help that it came without any instructions -- had to watch another company's video on You Tube and then get soaked trying to find the equivalent parts.

Not quite perfect, but the best sprinkler I've used in a long time.
I've only been using it for a week, but so far this is a really great sprinkler. It's robust, being almost entirely made of metal, and it seems like it should hold up significantly longer than any of the plastic versions you'll find at the big box stores. The coverage area can be huge, or you can twist some screws and shoot water just 20' or so. The pattern is generally easy to adjust, as is the sweep of the head.So why isn't it perfect? the one plastic part on the head, the height adjustment for the water stream, seems useless. Mine doesn't really offer any adjustment at all. Only in it's "lowest" position does it actually deflect any water. Any position above that (pretty much all of them) and the "hood" is too high to deflect any water. Also, the "Min" and "max" settings don't coincide with either the min or the max...they seem to be arbitrary markings that don't mean anything. One other complaint, the diffuser needle (which screws inward to obstruct the water stream and break it up) is very small and hard to manipulate with your fingers. It could use a larger knurled knob so you can twist it easier. So, it isn't perfect, but it's by far the best sprinkler I've had so far. It's robust, generally easy to adjust, has a large (or small) coverage area, and hopefully is the last sprinkler i'll need to buy for a while.

Great Impulse Sprinkler for Medium-to-Large Yards. Smaller Yard Owners Take Heed.
Prior to purchasing the ikris Garden Impulse Impact Sprinkler with a metal sled base, I had been using a cheap plastic Gilmour impact sprinkler with a plastic sled base that I purchased from my local hardware store. While the Gilmour sprinkler delivered water at an acceptable rate, the main issue I had was that it was so light that the water pressure would often tip the sprinkler over or cause it to drift out of the watering pattern I set. To prevent this, I would have to use a counter-weight (a patio brick, in my case), which would sometimes obstruct the water stream. It was just annoying, so I decided a needed a new sprinkler with a metal base sled for the extra weight, which is why I chose this ikris sprinkler.Upon its arrival, I was very satisfied with the initial build quality of the ikris. It felt solid, all the important pieces appeared to be metal, and the aluminum base sled felt weighted enough to avoid tipping over, but not too heavy to make moving it around a pain. I've used it about 4 times to water my lawn, it has performed extremely well, and as I had hoped, the heavier sled base prevented the sprinkler from tipping over or drifting from its watering pattern. The only critique I have is that changing the sprinkler's watering distance/height adjustment makes no a difference at all. I wanted to use the ikris sprinkler to water a smaller area of my side lawn, and even though I set the distance/height to the shortest/minimum setting, the sprinkler was shooting water as far as the max setting. Adjusting the diffuser screw simply breaks up the water into smaller beads as it's delivered (which I didn't want), but the distance was unaffected. Partially closing the valve at the spigot didn't help either; instead, it simply reduced the speed at which the sprinkler oscillated rather than reducing the watering distance.Ultimately, I would recommend this sprinkler if you have a medium-to-large yard with longer watering distances. If you need shorter watering distances, you'll need a supplemental sprinkler.
