Inside Metal: The Rise Of L.A. Thrash Metal 2

This is the latest installment of Bob Nalbandian’s “Inside Metal” series and I can’t say enough good about it. Bob does a great job of going in-depth with the artists and bands, bringing the viewer into the fold as each one recounts the experiences that brought each band, as we’ve known them, from their formative stages to becoming the faces and sounds of the music we love. Another thing I loved about this documentary is the number of really good opportunities presented to get to know very important bands that I’d heard of in the 80s, but I missed due to the lack of visibility in mainstream media at that time. This actually speaks for the series as a whole. But, inside L.A. Metal: Thrash Metal 2 leaves no stone unturned in helping us get to know these metal masterminds through these candid interviews. I should note that I have now not only watched this documentary and all the others in the series numerous times since their premiere showings at various theatres throughout the Los Angeles area, but, I have also purchased each DVD of the entire series and presented a few of my own viewings at home for friends who are into metal and also for those who were open to being properly introduced to metal for the first time. I commend Bob Nalbandian for his stellar work in making this documentary happen.Forrest R.

All of the Inside Metal dvds have been great. For those of us who were there for all or part of the L.A. scene, it was fun to revisit old times.

I have seen all of the "Inside Metal" documentary episodes and this one is my favorite! Definitely worth a watch if you grew up listening to 80s heavy metal music.

I have all 6 in the series, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! PERIOD!! Very well done discs, more than one watch too. Informative early years atuff only found here! BUY IT!

Very informative movie about the early days of Thrash Metal! Great interview footage of some of the pioneers of LA Thrash!
