Works great
Well, this henna hair color was pleasantly surprising to me, I usually henna my hair with all natural henna, no color. This was new to me with a color base. I actually liked how well my hair took to it. And the best part was… you don’t have to wait for color payoff in hours of natural henna AKA no color henna dye! I achieved this payoff color in 60 mins that’s what time I left it on.Should be interesting how it looks in 3 days, usually my natural henna start the color in 3 days. For it to completely oxidize. But so far this was so much easier to use! Just hoping after watching my hair in a few days. It will still be a nice red color without a lot of run off on color. Time will tell, but the price point I am happy the way my hair feels. I will buy more if it stays on the hair and doesn’t fade out fast.

Quick color
Pretty easy to make and apply. I mixed the powder with warm water to create a silky paste. I used an applicator brush that I had on hand to apply it to my hair starting at the roots down. I sectioned my hair into fours to make sure the paste was evenly distributed. I let it sit for the required time and rinsed it off. The color was exact and lasted for quite some time. This is not a permanent color. Overall this way of coloring the hair is more gentle as there are great herbs added in here that help strengthen the hair. Herbs like shikakai, bhringraj and amla are nourishing to the hair.

Came out dark brown instead of brown
I’ve been using her a for just at 4 years. This is the third brand I’ve used. The first was too time consuming but pretty true to color. The second is my regular go to and is pretty consistent and easy. This turned out dark brown instead of brown. I didn’t even cover all my hair. I had to use three packs on my long thick hair just to get my upper roots, neck line and just a few strips more. I even had it thinner than usual so it stretched longer putting it on. I rinsed it out at just under an hour because of the recommendation for grey and I usually go at least an hour and sometimes an hour and a half with my regular. It turned out dark. I let it dry a bit but still so dark! I decided to wash it just hours after rinsing because I didn’t want it set in that dark but that didn’t help. This does work on grey but with henna it’s not as dark on the grey. The non grey was much darker than the brown shown. Also, when mixing the three bags, the last was a different color. It’s hard to tell in the picture. I have a picture of my regular medium brown power to compare powders. This looks like tar mixed. The pictures of my hair are: before, after damp, after washing damp, and after washing dry.Hopefully like henna does it will tone down but not sure it will enough since I already shampooed and it didn’t change.

absolutely did not dye my hair....
I kept it on for 30 as it did say 20 and there wasn't a change. my hair is already light. like a light blonde red. it changed to nothing.

Excellent!
Despite having natural red hair, I recently tried Hemani Hair Henna Color (in Chestnut Brown). I didn't try this to change my color, but I mixed it with another strawberry blonde henna that I use (by a different manufacturer) to get a better overall color match, and it worked perfectly. Yes, there are red shades of henna by Hermani, but they are very unnatural colors. I am looking to cover some white streaks that have increased in my hair with age, but I don't need to color my whole head of hair. Henna works well for this purpose, as it doesn't require chemicals to process it, and I get many more uses out of powdered henna than I would a box of hair dye. It is much more cost-effective for me. However, the typical color I have been using on my white streaks doesn't seem dark enough anymore, but the red/gold tone is the right color cast to blend in seamlessly with the rest of my hair. So, when I saw this pop up on Vine to try, I carefully looked at the color and thought, "Maybe I could use this and mix it with my other stuff?" Well, the result was outstanding. It was the same level of darkness as the rest of my hair, and it had a slight golden tone to it, so mixing it with my go-to color worked flawlessly. This stuff is very inexpensive, and it comes in 6 packets of premeasured henna. All you need to do is mix in hot water. It says it can color in as little as 20 minutes, but I left it on for 30 (and it covered the white hairs in that time frame). It works faster than the color I mixed it with (when that is used alone, it takes over an hour for it to set). It stains everything it touches almost immediately too (made a huge mess in my shower and I had to bleach the stains away as soon I rinsed my hair). I will warn you, though, that it looks like poop when mixed.

Good color
I've used henna hair color before with good success so was happy to try this one.First thoughts: The box contains "6 Applications", but you may need more than one depending on how long your hair is.Directions are a bit nonspecific. It just says to add water, but not how much, or even what consistency you should be looking for.Unlike most hair color, the box did not include anything other than the color packets, although directions remind you to use an application brush (not included) and gives (not included). You'll also benefit from having one of those plastic shower caps on hand for the setting period. I kinda had to scramble and make due with what I had since this is the first time I've ever used any box color (including henna) that didn't include any of these things.Color turned out good though so All in all, I give it 4 stars.
