At first I have to say I did not like any of the designs there are in this book. There is far too much going on at almost all models. At first I felt disappointed to the book. Sounds bad, BUT. I have several milliner books and no one of them has given me so many ideas to my own very different projects than seen in book. It somehow helped me think out of box. So at the end this is one of the best books I have red about this subject.

I love the illustrations an the easy to understand directions. The variety of hats to make is fabulous. I also like the fact that you don't have to have alot of millinery stuff, i.e., a variety of hat blocks - you can use what you have on hand, old hats, etc. This will be my go to book when I make a hat.Amazon.co.uk is fabulous and easy to work with.

Dont be put off by the image on the cover of this book, the projects inside are great. Well worth the money. I nearly bought it in waterstones - £19.99, buying it on amazon saved 2/3rd - bargain!

Best hat book on the market for a beginner, only downside is several of the projects are a bit twee although many are absolutely lovely and it's a good point of inspiration to start developing your own designs

I loved Mary - Jane's first book and I was eagerly anticipating this one. It's perfect for a new milliner or someone with experience who wants to try some new ideas. There are loads of really great practical projects which don't involve spending a lot of money and both the illustrations and imagery are inspiring and really easy to follow. I would highly recommend this book.

Great book for anyone wanting to start making hats, stylish and lots of photographs with clear instructions. Definately a good buy. The only criticism would be that suppliers for materials are mainly in London, there are lots of suppliers in Luton as well (the home of hat making in Britain).

Good book good illustrations and patterns,easy to follow, good value. It is bad practice to ask someone to review products with a a minimum number of words as some products just do not need this. I just repost this statement when this occurs
