We had an issue with our drain line from the washer backing up. It made a huge mess. I didn't hear the water pooring out of the drain pipe onto our floor untill it came cascading through the ceiling to the first floor. I installed a 9V battery. Tested the sensor under the faucet. Works well and is loud. Now I can feel better knowing that if the issue occurs again. I will get a warning in time to cut the washer off. Very inexpensive. 👍

A simple product for a reasonable price, works as advertised. If you are home most of the time, this should give u adequate warnings, if not home often… get a WiFi hub with sensors to text/alert you remotely.

Ease of use. Tested and very good. Light weight. Good wire length. It is value of money. Good noise level. With this price you are free of any tension. Keep it for close to sunk pump. Water heater and one place in basement and you are alll set. I order 5 batteries with 1 year life for less than 8 dollars. What else you need.already recommended to couple.

The alarm is very loud when it detects water at the sensor which can be located remotely up to 30 inches away from the alarm. Has a switch to turn off or remove the battery to silence. Great for water heater, under sinks, place on floor near washing machine, And behind a toilet or Refridgerator that has an ice maker.As useful as a smoke alarm!

But the wire should be longer to that the alarm speaker could be placed further away from the water sensor.

For a price of under $7 per unit this product has saved my basement from flooding twice. I had two connecting hoses fail at the top of my water heater within 2 months and sprayed water all over my mechanical room, I live alone and luckily I was home. This device detected it and alerted me to the possible flood. The only complaint I have is the second time the alarm sound was very faint. So I wonder if the device is a one time thing, the second time it did go off but it was very faint.

Once you have purchased and installed 9v batteries these are simple to install and test. Very reasonably priced. Loud alarm on each unit. Perfect for my basement application to detect water in the drip pans of the water heater and pressure tank.
