Irene Cara,Simply Lovely,Amazing with Handsome Talent of Dorian Harewood, made this movie Great!Good seeing Henry Fonda,LEGEND!!!
Hola.i love it.Seeing henry fonda, a true acting LEGEND,was a great thing,as my mother generationknow, and always love him as a actor.Great seeing Lynne Moody(they age her badly as IRENE!)and Tom (Georg Sanford Brown)the guy age way too much;so the series really screw up on that! lol But i still watch, but no way they could've been that old ifthey had the kiddies,as what?Teens back then,or almost out the teen years.but i love it,and i always LOVE the musica, and i love TOM DAUGHTER so cute, the actress who play CYNTHIA; Telling her sweet lil girl who became Alex Momma, the entire story on KIZZY,KUNTA,i get real emotional with that.(She was a great actress)in this with her husband will palmer. When a "very old"tom moore, voting, fight, and train ride,i like so much, very realistic, and the way he HELD the first grandchild to the sky/god i LOVE that so much pretty much traditional, that was 1 of the best parts in the ENTIRE movie.so nice.Hence:(just a few boring snoozin' parts)i.e. some of the first and second episode, was a snoozing-moment,lol but i watch nevertheles!)lolBut i do agree with most:IT WAS, NO WHERE AS GREAT-BEYOND IMAGINETHE ORIGINAL 1st Roots.I love original watch 2 days straight this xmas eve night, and dec.23 repeatedly..HOWEVER:i love and did not "struggle lol to watch" at all the third part,IMO(in my opinion)BEST with her the lovely talent,of IRENE CARA,with the handsome talented actor,Dorian Harewood! they were IMO the best..beyond in the entire series.i really did like also OSSIE DAVIS.I mean who could not.He is incredible. An,Incredible realistic SL there, great acting and even the scene between the"real alex" at the end almost, finding his people i tear up in mi eyes, but yea was no where NEAR the 1st,then again as my parents say,It is not suppose to be! but it was a great movie,well-done.and lastly:The younger CYNTHIA lovely woman, with Will Palmer marry scene was a riot! and i love seeing TOM MOORE OLD/Irene both of them were 2 of mi fave in the Original. But simon haley love story movin' on up with his wife was great from the time they met.I love it..Simon Haley pix in real life,so handsome, and did not resemble,at all the actorDorian Harewood lol but i love dorian too,as a actor, each minute he was on,such LOVE was truly felt on screen with Alex Haley parents,(simon and bertha.)But yea;The rest was "ok" but i like again, can repeatedly watch SIMON STORY WITH IRENE CARA CHARACTER,was such a great piece of ROOTS the next generation.,Best IMO of entire series for this chapter..Queen is incredible,i can't wait to see it on BET wed.all morning afternoon.Such a great ending to his incredible family-story being told.QUEEN i will be too watching on BET tomorrow, this xmas, week, love queen each part.and we all know NOTHING COMPARE to such realism/brutality/and triumph in the 1st original ROOTS.but i love seeing how ALL of KUNTA KINTE DESCENDANTS,turn out i do love that, the most.Happy holidays!adios.

Takes you back to 1979
I ordered this complete disc cd about 4 days ago, it arrived 2/22/2011. I remember watching this as If I was 10 yrs old again, how it brought back memories to me from my past. The struggle my mother had to go through going to work and how my grandmother was still cleaning the white man's house for nearly 50 yrs. I'm grateful to be able to experience this saga with my children (black men) ages 16 & 23. We watch chapter 1 and my boys were very upset and thought about how their life would of been if it wasn't for change in America. ALthough, Mr. Haley isn't here and has been dead for some time, he is still in my prayers and I thank him for teaching and letting us visualize how the 1800's was. I grew up with my Great-Grandparents who were born in 189o's and listen to all their stories. (They past when I was a freshman in HS 1983) they lived to be both 93 & 94. The only regret that I have, that I didn't start to write facts about my history until later in live.(I'm 41 now)so I can track to see where their parents came from. I'm only 5 generations from slavery living and breathing in 2011. My grandmother who is 83 is still alive and so is my mother. Although, this is a pick up from ROOTS it's also amazing of how the white man changed and allowed us to work side by side with them. I cried at some parts last night, and I can't wait to get home to watch chap 2 with my boys this evening. This is a must see movie with your children. I will be ordering ROOTS so my son's will have it for their children to watch.

'An Excellent Miniseries On Family!'
I liked the miniseries very much. All the actors and actresses were outstanding in their respective roles. I cried when the white man abused Black people and I was angry when the N-word was used throughout the miniseries. Author Alex Haley did a fantastic job of writing about his ancestors dating back nearly 200 years. REST IN POWER to the following actors and actresses: Author and writer Mr. Alexander Murray Palmer Haley (August 11, 1921-February 10, 1992); Mr. Marlon Brando, Jr. (April 3, 1924-July 1, 2004); Mr. James Broderick (ne James Joseph Broderick III) (March 7, 1927-November 1, 1982); Ms. Diahann Carroll (nee Carol Diann Johnson) (July 17, 1935-October 4, 2019); Mr. Bernie Casey (ne Bernard Terry Casey) (June 8, 1939-September 19, 2017); Ms. Lee Chamberlin (nee Alverta LaPallo) (February 14, 1938-May 25, 2014); Mr. Robert Martin Culp (August 16, 1930-March 24, 2010); Mr. James Firman Daly (October 23, 1918-July 3, 1978); Dame Olivia Mary De Havilland, DBE (July 1, 1916-July 26, 2020); Ms. Ruby Dee (nee Ruby Ann Wallace) (October 27, 1922-June 11, 2014); Mr. Norman Fell (ne Norman Noah Feld) (March 24, 1924-December 14, 1998); Mr. Henry Jaynes Fonda (May 16, 1905-August 12, 1982); Mr. Al Freeman, Jr. (ne Albert Cornelius Freeman, Jr. ) (March 21, 1934-August 9, 2012); Mr. Andy Samuel Griffith (June 1, 1926-July 3, 2012); Mr. Bube 'Slim' Gaillard (January 9, 1911 (1916?)-February 26, 1991); Mr. Paul Koslo (June 27, 1944-January 9, 2019); Mr. Avon Long (June 18, 1910-February 15, 1984); Ms. Dina Merrill (nee Nedenia Marjorie Hutton) (December 29, 1923-May 22, 2017); Mr. Harry Morgan (ne Harry Bratsberg) (April 10, 1915-December 7, 2011); Mr. Greg Morris (ne Francis Gregory Alan Morris) (September 27, 1933-August 27, 1996); Ms. Beah Richards (nee Beulah Elizabeth Richardson) (July 12, 1920-September 14, 2000); Mr. Percy Rodriguez (June 13, 1918-September 6, 2007); Mr. George Voskovec Jiri Voskovec Wachsmann (June 19, 1905-July 1, 1981); Mr. Paul Edward Winfield (May 22, 1939-March 7, 2004); Mr. Kristoff St. John (July 15, 1966-February 3, 2019); Mr. Brock Peters (ne George Fisher) (July 2, 1927-August 23, 2005); Mr. Howard Ellsworth Rollins, Jr. (October 17, 1950-December 8, 1996); Ms. Linda Hopkins (nee Melinda Helen Matthews) (December 14, 1924-April 10, 2017); Mr. Dennis Clarke Fimple (November 11, 1940-August 23, 2002); Mr. Logan Carlisle Ramsey, Jr. (March 21, 1921-June 26, 2000): 'You all may be gone but you will never, ever be, forgotten.'

ではこの辺で(see you)
