The manufacturer (not shipper) used an extremely sticky tape to huld the lid on Took me 15 minutes with Goo Gone just to get bucket clean from adhesive resodue. Did not try lid which had more tape on it. No protection for wood handle so varnish and stain were abraded exposing bare lighter colored wood.

The first bucket I received had the top handle missing. Was not even in the box. The second bucket had multiple dents of which I was able to get most out. The manufacturer had put a label on with tape up the sides of the bucket and across the lid. The tape that was used left adhesive when removed. I had to use an adhesive remover to remove. The product is very thin metal. The only reason I am keeping the second ash bucket is that the finish matches my fireplace finish. I would not recommend the product.
