Love/hate relationship with these bulbs
I acquired these bulbs because I wanted something brighter for my ancient chandelier (with a dimmer switch) that came with the house, and it's maximum wattage is 25 per bulb, and even though it has 6 bulbs, they just aren't bright enough. The bright spot was that these were a higher wattage, using only a fraction of the actual wattage, which is a huge plus, and, they're instant on, no waiting for the bulb to warm up.These bulbs are indeed brighter. They really don't fit all that well with my current shades (that work well with the blunt tip bulbs), but they still work.Sometimes I like to leave the chandelier on it's dimmest setting if we go out at night and don't want to come home to a pitch black house. Even on the dimmest setting, these lights are too bright. If you don't have a dimmer, then it's not an issue. The one major flaw that bothers me is the white base. It really does take away from the light that would normally radiate downwards, but the main issue is the writing on the base, which can be easily seen, since you're looking up at it. If you have a light cover that covers the base, or screws in from above, you're okay.Pros:Brighter, especially good on older watt restricted fixturesEnergy Star ratedDimmableInstant on, no warm up required!Warm white colorCons:Large white base, and the writing that's on it1" longer than the old bulbsI am going to experiment with the base to see if I can easily remove the writing (maybe with some 220 grit sandpaper, like with removing pvc pipe writing). And if I'm successful, I will definitely order another set to complete my chandelier.EDIT:I was able to remove the writing from the base of the bulb, rubbing lightly with the 220 grit sandpaper. This probably voided any kind of warranty, so user beware.

Three Stars
good lighting and color -- however the LED's arent diffused, so you get a lot of spots

Fantastic Lightbulbs that avoid the harshness of many LED bulbs.
These light bulbs are incredibly easy to install and are a direct replacement for regular chandelier bulbs and require no additional adapter. We are currently using them in an heirloom chandelier that is about 70 years old without issue, in fact with the lower power draw of LED and cooler running temperature these are probably even safe than running regular light bulbs in a light fixture that old.But the thing that I love most about these light bulbs is that unlike many LED's and CFL bulbs these days, these have a very nice warm temperature to them that matches the old style of chandelier bulbs perfectly. In fact its so perfect that if we had frosted glass over the bulbs instead of clear etched you would not be able to tell which socket has which style of bulb in. Because the only way to tell now is buy the lack of filament in the bulb and the fact that they're a little taller and you can see the plastic bottom in our particular chandalier. Your mileage may vary on how much of the bulb you see. I will definitely no longer be purchasing regular light bulbs for my chandler and will be going with these bulbs instead.

Junk!
These are horrible bulbs! Our ceiling fans came with these and they started failing within a month of installation. Since the remaining bulbs seemed to be working ok, I purchased two three-packs through Amazon. Out of six bulbs purchased less than a year ago, four have already failed and I'm swapping them for a different brand. These will start out with one of the three internal LED's blinking on and off, then the whole bulb will quit if I don't replace it beforehand because the blinking is driving me insane. FWIW, we hardly ever run the fans, and they're very well balanced, so vibration isn't an issue.Pros: When they work, they're great and function as designed.Cons: Extremely short life!

Value-priced, Candelabra-Based, Bent-Tip Bulbs--40 Watts for Only 4 Watts
These budget-priced (about $15 on Amazon) HONEYWELL CHANDELIER LED LIGHT BULBS (4 Watt Consumption, Dimmable 40 Watt Equivalent Light Output) have a candelabra (small screw-in) base that fits in most chandelier-style light fixtures. Each LED bulb uses only 4 watts, and gives out the equivalent of 40 watts of light. That's a lot of light, when you multiply the number of bulbs in your fixture by 40 watts!Because they're LED bulbs, they will last for many years. The bulbs contain a pretty, flower-like, clear plastic feature (a reflector? a decoration?) that makes them look fancy. The glass portion has a long, bent tip that resembles a flame. These bulbs are dimmable, a feature that usually increases the price of individual LED bulbs. I think that these bulbs are only intended to be used indoors, with the bases pointing downwards, and NOT in fully enclosed fixtures. When I changed all of my household CFL bulbs to LED bulbs, the extra cost of the LED bulbs was quickly recovered by substantial savings on my monthly electric bill. (Electricity is very expensive in California.)

Very unusual
These are interesting bulbs. I think if you have just the right place for them, they're great. But in some ways, their utility is limited. They are very, very tall. They stand out, but might not fit properly in some fixtures. They are plastic, not glass. This gives the light a sort of soft, frosted look. Not bad; just different, although if you look very closely, you can see a vertical seam. They'd be nice for a fixture that small children might knock over. The white bottom with prominent "Honeywell" label is just odd. It blocks all downward-facing light, which may or may not be right for the look you're going for. These aren't for a chandelier intended to light up a dining table during meals, but could be perfect for a decorative fixture that you want to have a somewhat indirect light. The crown-shaped lens inside is very distinctive when the bulb is lit. I think it looks pretty cool, but you might disagree.

Good Soft LED Light Bulb
I have now replaced just about every bulb possible with LED's These chandelier size were perfect over my dining table, and produce a nice soft light. They are supposed to last 13 years, but who really knows for sure. They provide good light and use less energy, which is all I ask of a bulb.
