2-Piece Mermaid Doll Toy for Girls or Cake Decoration,Swim in the Water at Bath Time, the Pool, and Beach(Random Color)

I bought these to give to my two younger girls for Easter. They are 5 and 9. I waited to give a review because I knew these were pretty cheaply made and wanted to see how they held up first.My girls are really into mermaids recently and it reminded me of how I had enjoyed playing with Sea Wees in the bath when I was a little girl. I tried to find something similar to those but with no luck. There are very few mermaid toys out there right now that are even cute, let alone ones that I think could be used in the bath. Anyway, after searching and searching and reading a ton of reviews I decided to get these because at least they were pretty and they were inexpensive, especially because I could split the pack between the two girls. The first thing I noticed when they arrived is how the tails are made from light, very hard plastic that is hallow and seems like it could be brittle, and the paint looked like it wanted to chip off. Because of this I decided to advise my girls against getting them wet. They clearly are not water tight with with those seams, and I have no idea what kind of cheap paint is on them. My girls were excited about how pretty they are. They do have nice faces, though my 9-year-old also immediately noticed that the dolls have a bald spot on the back of their hair, so unless their hair sits just right, it shows. I admitted to the girls that they were pretty cheap and it was another reason not to get them wet because if they had matted sticking up hair it wouldn’t help the baldness issue.As I went to take the photos for this review just now, I was surprised to find that my 5-year-old’s doll is now armless, so clearly these cannot take too much rough handling. My older girl’s doll is still fully intact and looks about how she did the day we got her. So if you have older girls who are content to play with the mermaids out of water and be gentle, they might work for you. I still think they are the prettiest mermaids out there right now as far as their faces go, but they are definitely cheap and not going to last forever. I wish someone would bring Sea Wees back, but anyway, they’ve had a few months of fun playing mermaids at least, and maybe if we can find those tiny arms they can have a few months more yet.

These are the worst!!! I was actually embarrassed giving it to my grandchildren. There were cheap cheap. There is literally bald spots on the dolls. Within the first 5 minutes hair was falling out everywhere and the arm and head both came off. The body is made from hard plastic and has a crack in it. I am beyond disappointed with this product and should have listened to all of the reviews before I purchased it. Not worth trying to cut Corners. But I am buying the original well made mermaids. Now I have to go through the trouble of returning it. I will not be not be keeping these.

I got these for bath tub toys and they work well for that, but they are not great quality. One of the dolls we got had a black spot I the cheek and both have paint coming off after 2 weeks of play. That being said I got them for water toys which don’t tend to last long and for the cost they are a decent value.

Cute inexpensive dolls for little mermaid lovers. My granddaughter loved them and we played for hours.Combs a little small for doll’s hair.

Broke in the package. Not a good value and did not work for the birthday party games or a gift.

My niece loved them and swims in the bathtub with them all the time
