Good light that work well

Unlike (some) other reviewers, I don't simply copy & paste information from the advert. (I'm sure you really don't need (or want) to read all the description yet again!) I want to try and give you my own personal views of it (good or bad) so you can decide for yourself whether to buy the item or not. (The fact that I've received this product free of charge through Amazon Vine has no influence at all. I always "tell it as it is!")I already have a pair of these 'under cabinet' motion sensor lights, and they work perfectly well. The only downside to them is the fact they are battery powered and need to be charged up every so often. This item is mains powered, so you won't have that problem.Just like my other pair of lights, this light is very easy to install almost anywhere you like. However, this one might need an extension cable installing too, if it's not within 1.5m of an electrical socket. This light can be held in place either by using the supplied double-sided 'self-adhesive sticky pads, or fixing the mounting brackets more permanently using the screws supplied.So, at the current price of £16.99p (with free delivery) I believe this item, (as nice as it is), is not the cheapest light available, and therefore I don't think it's excellent value for the money. Yes, there are very similar items that are even more expensive, (and those are definitely NOT good value for money in any way). However, I can still recommend this item though, (if you're happy to pay that price for just one light). as it does exactly what it's supposed to do, it's very easy to install, and you can (at the time of this review), get an extra 10% off, using a voucher being offered.Note:I have not uploaded any photos, as there are already some on here, and mine would not be adding anything new!

Love this, i have used it under our breakfast bar and it looks so effective. Gives great mood lighting. Could be used under kitchen cupboards also. Quick delivery and easy to install.

So easy to fix & so easy to turn off & on with your hand

This works really well, looks nice and has a long cable to reach the plug. Sticks firmly, dims and brightens, great value for money. Really adds to ambience in kitchen, easy to use and install

Installed this into a dark airing cupboard and am very pleased. The light is super strong (easily colour changeable) and has a good spread. The hand-waving sensor can need you to practically touch it for the light to come on, however - so a little temperamental.I think, given their intended use and likelihood of being mounted away from a door handle or easily-reachable area, it might be worthwhile replacing the sensor with a PIR in future revisions, however. This would make more sense.

I've fitted similar lights to this in an in-built wardrobe recently and they've been a revelation and so I was looking forward to getting one of these fitted under a kitchen cupboard in the kitchen to provide some much needed additional worktop lighting.Fitting was super easy. As it was a quick fit I just used the pair of sticky pads on the light, peeled off the backing and stuck them on the under-cupboard surface. The light is held securely and a quick tidy up of the wires down the side and it's all neat and tidy very quickly.As an alternative there's a screw-fit pair of brackets which would clip the light in place securely too.In operation there's no worrying about batteries with these just switch it on and it's constantly on standby ready to go with a wave of the hand underneath.It took a while to get the right action to get the swipe action to work reliably. I've found with mine that it's more reliable with a pretend press near the sensor (and a nearly touching or actually touching the light housing near the sensor) rather than 'swiping'. Using this technique this action works most of the time - but crucially not all of the time. This is where the light is a little let down for me and each time it doesn't work is really frustrating as it would have been quicker just having a switch on the light itself to physically switch it on and off. However, when it works it definitely has a novelty/'wow' factor.The fact the light is adjustable in temperature (with physically pressing the sensor button for this on the light) and intensity (by holding your hand under the light for a few seconds) gives it more versatility (but also causes some mis-control on my part (e.g. meant to turn it off but it just dims instead)).It's really close to being a great product but every time it doesn 't work is really frustrating. I must admit I nearly took it out and binned it soon after installation as the sensor action didn't seem to work anywhere near well enough. Now we have the knack of it, it's definitely staying in place but don't expect it to work perfectly.4 stars from me.
