The Best of Hitchcock
You can't miss with Alfred Hitchcock short story compilations. I've never bought a bad one. The stories are spellbinders without being gross, vulgar or having the foul language that seems to be so popular today. Very reader friendly and extremely well written - the only bad part is that it's hard to put down! The stories are short and intense (4-6 pages), but when you finish one, it's hard to not start the next one. Really good writing, well worth the price of admission!

Misnamed
Tales? Yes, plenty of them, and good ones, too. Terror? Not really. There are a small amount of stories that will get an adrenaline flow flowing, but otherwise most of these are detective/mystery shorts, with a few O. Henry-esque tales thrown in. All well written, though, and enjoyable reads. Would've given this one 5 stars but deducted one for the misleading title.

Very Good Condition
I love to read and Alfred Hitchcock is the best when it comes to short stories (mystery). Also nice to keep the book in my library.

It is amystery book. So if one would define violence as people killing each other, it has some. But I do not think it is to be perceived as such. It is the suspense rather than violence that one sees through the pages.
