No More Dazzle
I saw good reviews for this product and measured those against quite a lot of advice online from ophthalmic specialists regarding the wisdom, generally not, of wearing any kind of yellow or amber tinted 'night' driving specs because they would "undoubtedly" interfere with good visual accuity. Well, my return to night-time driving a week ago was terrifying as I nearly went off the road when blindingly dazzled by fast-approaching oncoming headlights on an unlit road.So I bought the specs regardless of the online warnings, and wore them for the first time over my prescription specs last night while driving. I was prepared to whip them off in a second if I felt my clarity of vision was being adversely affected. My experience: I noticed the difference immediately and it was definitely beneficial. My clarity of vision was not adversely affected at all. The 'starburst' effect that I've been getting following lens replacements (all checked out and in place) owing to cataracts is not fully gone, but the dazzling and thereby dangerous impact of bright on-coming lights has. How this works I have not a clue and quite frankly don't care. I can now look directly at oncoming headlights (not something that I would normally do or recommend though) without being blinded. I don't need to use the 'dipper' on my rear-view mirror to tone down dazzling headlights behind me; they no longer bother me. Now I can 'look to the left' of oncoming lights (not something you can do with streetlighting though!) with comfort. I can actually feel my eyes relaxing when I've got the Opticaid specs on and the headache that normally follows a spell of night-driving seems to be a thing of the past. It's like wearing polarized sunglasses during the day in sunny conditions, but without the darkening effect - which would obviously be extremely dangerous at night while trying to drive! Somehow, the effect of dazzle is removed, without removing the ability to see at night. All the tension and anxiety has gone. Marvellous!I haven't tried other, cheaper products, but it may be worth my mentioning that I chose these slightly more expensive specs because they a) fit over my presciption specs with ease, and b) are fully polarized with no more than 1% light reduction. They are of good quality and I am of the view that this matters when it comes to beneficial rather than adverse effects. These worked for me.

Brilliant for anti glare
These over glasses were brilliant for anti glare and fit perfectly over my prescription glasses, I've not tried them in the rain or fog yet but have high hopes for them, made driving at night much easier, would recommend

It works!
I noticed that car lights etc were very bright and sometimes blinding. I purchased these glasses after reading they would cut down on glare. And they work! Gives an orange glow to lights, are light enough to wear over prescription glasses. Doesn’t impede my driving in any way. NoMore headaches or tired dry eyes after a long trip.

A bit disappointed
I was really looking forward to receiving these polorised glasses. I have been diagnosed with Fuchs Corneal disease and one of the symptoms is sensitivity to light. This is particularly difficult when driving at night when the headlights of on-coming vehicles is blinding and I can see nothng except glare with gigantic halos! I appreciate that these glasses have been designed to wear over prescription glasses, but understood they can be worn without. I am a petite woman with a petite head. With the arms of these glasses resting in the correct position behimd my ears, the frames dangle down all the way past my nose to my mouth! Not good.I'm guessing, that these glasses, like kitchens, have been designed primarily for men, regardless of the fact that as many women as men are driving vehicles. Secondly, although they undoubtedly reduce the glare of lights considerably, they are not as effective as I'd hoped. I spent many hours online trying to find night driving glasses for women, but without success. Can someone tell me why this is?

They work!
I bought these glasses because at the age of 80 my eyes struggle to cope with the glare of oncoming headlights at night. I wear prescription glasses anyway, and these night driving glasses fitted well over them - there was no tendency to slip off. The difference it made to my night vision was very significant! I found it much easier to cope with headlights, and I felt much more safe in my driving. The frame of the glasses feels flimsy and I suspect would be quite easy to break, but that is to be expected at this price. But if kept in the handy bag which is supplied, and when handled with care, these are well worth buying. I have not used them yet in the rain, but I am already really glad to have them.
