Simple and effective
I recently bought LOTS of these (though not for this price) from IKEA. I bought 18 of this size and 20 of the size that is about a quarter of these in size. They all stack very well.I spent a very long time looking around for storage boxes, but all the cardboard ones were very flimsy for the money. I didn't really want to go the plastic route, but now I have these I really like them a lot! They have a satisfying feel of sliding into place when you stack them, as the lid is recessed. Small versions stack neatly in place on top.Whilst open they feel fairly solid, but with the lid on they feel a lot stronger. I'd have no hesitation buying more of these when needed as they look very smart (if a little too minimal) and are very functional.Downsides:1. They have slanted sides, which is good for stacking when not in use, but it does mean that some document folders don't fit neatly inside.2. There is a notch inside in each corner which can get in the way a little. This is there for structural strength though and the internal dimensions are still ok for A4 paper.These are the most practical and useful boxes I can find available (that are not clear) so I highly recommend them.I'd love it if there was an insert to buy to go with this design. That would allow me to organise smaller items. Say for example if I was using the box for stationery and wanted to store paper in the bottom and pens etc in an insert tray.Some colour options would be nice too. E.g. grey, black or muted colours.
