Another stellar read!
Thank you Leia and Julie. Leia you have a unique gift that gets me out of any reading slump and today having finally found a few hours from myself I’ve devoured this book!I was a little uncertain at the beginning, not sure I was going to like the Main Female Character but I was misguided and I soon began to love the depth of her morals and authenticity! A warming romance with just the right about of build up for me. A good amount of action and as always, an enjoyable read that’s got me chomping at the bit for book 2.Not a lot of world building in this one but equally that’s what my own self needed at this time so if you’re looking for an epic fantasy this isn’t going to hit the spot but if you’re looking for a fast paced read, with strong likeable characters which isn’t difficult to get through then this might be for you!

Cold Hearted
Cold Hearted by Leia Stone; Julie HallNarrated by Vanessa Moyen; Adam GoldI received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and HQ and I am leaving this review voluntarily.BlurbTo save my kingdom, someone must die.Every hundred years, a curse descends on Faerie, ravaging its lands and killing its people. For the last two millennia, the Summer Court princess has always been the one to stop it.Now it’s my turn.My entire life I’ve prepared to become one the perfect assassin. My mission is simple. Travel to the mirror realm, find an Ethereum Lord, return to Faerie with his magical heart. But when I step through the portal, I’m immediately taken captive and find myself at the mercy of Zander, a handsome royal guard. Now I’m forced to play by his rules, because if I fail at my task everyone and everything I’ve ever known and loved perishes. But Zander has secrets, and when I find out what they are they make me question if everything I’ve ever been taught was a lie...My OpinionCold Hearted is a fast paced, quick read. I listened to this as an audiobook and it was easy to dip in and out of. If you are looking for a story that will grab you quickly then this is one you should add to your list.Rating 4/5

A romantasy with fae and curses
A romantasy with fae and curses - I immediately had to read this. It’s fun, full of fairytale vibes and action packed. I enjoyed the romance the most - I think the enemies to lovers is done well with good banter. I love the trope of one horse and this took it slightly further in a really lovely way. The book isn’t too deep, it’s super easy to read and follow, a little predictable, but sometimes you need that in a book. It’s a fun time and full of magic. I would definitely recommend the audiobook as it felt all the more immersive! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.

Heartwarming, charming and beautifully written
This charming introduction to the Cursed Fae series introduces us to Dawn, a Summer Court Princess from Faerie. Feisty Dawn has been trained all her life for just one thing: to travel through the mirror portal, to bring back the heart of an Ethereum Lord, thus freeing Faerie from their curse for another century.Cold Hearted is beautifully written, and the audiobook wonderfully portrayed. Dawn has plenty of sass, and there is some world building, which will no doubt grow as the series expands. As Dawn sets about her mission and encounters Zander, the interplay between their characters is funny, lovely, frustrating, and heartwarming from initial meeting, right through to the conclusion.I'm so looking forward to book two: Faint Hearted so I can spend some more time with the Cursed Fae!

Enjoyable sweet romantasy
Being a sucker for stories about female assassins, I enjoyed this. It was rich and pacy and I’m looking forward to what I am guessing are three more books as the princesses of the seasons seek to dispel the curse that threatens their lands, by cutting out the black hearts of lords of other realms. Of course, love thwarts their plans, but that’s what we are here for, no? And there are lots of romance tropes to enjoy; one bed, force proximity, enemies to lovers. I listened on audio and the narration was good. The only downside came right at the end when there was what felt like a really clunky ‘chastity before marriage’ pitch, which was unnecessary and bugged me for the rest of the book. I see now that it is ‘sweet’ romantasy, but this was already sorted in the ‘showing’, so shame about the ‘telling’.

My two favourite authors collaborating and they did not disappoint!
Dive into a magical world where love and duty collide. The story revolves around a fae princess from the summer Court - Dawn who has a duty to save her kingdom by retrieving the heart of an Ethereum Lord but what she didn’t expect was for sparks to fly which makes her doubt everything.I really liked the slow burn romance between Dawn and Zander. Dawn is a really badass character with so much sass I love her! Zander is very charming and protective but missing that bad boy edge that I like. However I do like it when he calls Dawn “little bird”I love Leia and Julie’s style of writing it’s exciting, fast paced, descriptive that’s keeps you wanting more. Will Dawn choose duty over love? Or will Zander be enough to sway her heart?I’m very much looking forward to book 2 I think there will be 4 in total. Even though this is a standalone the epilogue introduces you to the fall princess so it does end on a cliffhanger! 5🌟read!

Loved It!!!
I have to say I really enjoyed this series. I've read both book 1 and 2. The chemistry between the main characters is adorable. I love the banter. I also enjoyed the fact that it was clean. It's refreshing. These are gems you don't come across very often, especially in fae romance. Great job to the authors. I look forward the the last 2 books in the series.

Está increíble el libroHay cero sexo, todo es coqueteo y a pesar de eso el libro te engancha , pensaría que es más para adolescentes.Lo único que está terrible es que los siguientes libros no se han publicado :( , así de bueno está jajaja ya los quería leer

4 stars for this fabulous adventure romance!
Cold Heartedby Leia Stone, Julie HallBook 1 in the Cursed Face seriesRating: 4/5I sure read that quickly! I was excited to read something new from one of my favorite authors, Julie Hall! I already read the previous series where she joined with Leia Stone and it was awesome! I am such a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers (without explicit scenes - fade to black). I will say that I sort of guessed the twist but not everything so the story was still very enjoyable. The banter between the two leads was so good and I loved every second of it. Going into the series I was told it would be more like a standalone story that focused on different couples per book which I have mixed feelings about because as much as I enjoyed their story arc, it did feel a little rushed near the end compared to the author's other series where the story spanned 3-4 books. But even with that, the story was a fun read that made me laugh and smile and I will definitely be reading more.Highly recommend if you enjoy fade-to-black fantasy that is humorous, adventurous and will keep you reading till the end!PG-13: language, fade-to-blackMy thanks to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.
