I bought this after knee surgery. I've found that the wire spine in the lifter makes it very useful. I drive a Honda Cr-V that has a lip that I have to navigate with both feet. The Lifter's wire spine makes slipping my foot into the foot loop easy and then the multiple hand straps makes it easy to hoist my left foot into and out of the Honda. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the design and it's easy of use. FWIW, I'm a fat 72 year old Grumpy old dude.

Well made product and as described. I just really didn't use this very much because it was more of a hassle to use than its worth to me.

Bought this for my mother for her hip replacement and she is able to use it with ease. There is a metal band or wires in it to give it stiffness that I didn't know about. Really didn't read much into it but it's a nice addition. You can bend it to the shape you need.

I bought this It works great but I ended up being in a nursing facility for 3 weeks so when I came home I did not need it so I had to mail it back

Wish I'd had this for two prior joint replacements. This thing is awsome!Get this in advance and take it to the hospital. It will let you adjust your position in bed and lower your leg at your pace when you get up. (Even the most capable and careful nurse can't be inside your head and know what you're fawesome!You'll be independent and able to get in and out of vehicles much sooner with this in hand. It bends easily to fold up and tuck into a tote when traveling to physical therapy and other appointments while recuperating. Best of luck!

Just had surgery on Monday and needed this to lift injured leg. It does work.Unfortunately that strong metal piping to hold the shape is not secured. The end keeps inching out so it cuts my legs, clothes and bedding.see photos. I would have assumed from the marketing photo that trend is completely sewn in. It is not.

A must have post knee surgery but this product does not seem sturdy enough. The loop does not hold its shape.
