Have yet to make anything!
I was going to give this five until I read the other reviews. I have yet to make any soaps. I did read through the book. The tips seem good and informative for me, a person who knows nothing and at best so, far have only watched various tutorials. So, just for the easy equipment and how to dress section, and explaining the different lye chemicals, one makes soap and one makes liquid soap... if I can ultimately figure it all out, this book wil have helped greatly!

Easy & simple.
This is a very good book to make natural body care products. I never thought readily available ingredients could be used to make soap & lotion. The author broke it down on how to do it yourself natural body care. I'm inspired to make my own lotion & soap now. The recipes are easy to follow. Good job!

Not Bad
I am a budding soap-maker, so I found this book to be beneficial. It's straight to the point while still being informative. The only problem I have with it is that some of the recipes seem like they were taken from shoddy websites. I found this to be a good book for learning how to make liquid soap overall.

Don't buy this book
I am new to soap making and when I recieved this book was severely disappointed in it. It took me about 30 minutes to read the entire thing and it never even discussed the additional steps needed when making soap using potassium hydroxide. It discusses soap making as using two processes: the cold and hot process, which is true, but it doesn't go on to tell you that making liquid soap deviates from both of these traditional methods once you reach trace. How can you have a book titled "Natural LIQUID soap recipes" and not even give a detailed description of how to make liquid soap using potassium hydroxide? This book is a diservice to soap makers. Overall this book is not worth the money. The old addage is true...you get what you pay for. pay the extra 5 or 6 bucks and get a good book.

Beautiful cover is deceiving
This book is getting 2 stars because I do appreciate that it is very simple to read. This would be good as a free book on your kindle to use as a reference for soap making. I was able to read the book in 15 minutes but feel I overpaid for it. I paid a little of $12.00 for it. I was hoping for a book with a lot of pretty pictures. Instead, the cover photo is beautiful and the rest of the pictures are hazy and black and white. It seems like many of the pictures were used as fillers. For example, I don't need three pictures and pages showing me a long shirt, shoes, and gloves to learn about safety and soap making. There are a limited amount of recipes and not much to offer. You would be better searching online for free recipes. Definitely will be returning and looking for something different.

Love the way its laid out
Love the way its laid out, but some of the recipes are misleading. When it says "liquid soap", it calls for Sodium Hydroxide, but liquid soap is made with Potassium hydroxide". So then your not sure if the measurements will still be correct to follow. If that gets corrected the rest is great.

This book is a rip-off.
This book is a rip-off. Although it has a very nice cover, the inside pages are so horrible they are beyond description. First of all, they are black and white photocopies of a color original, which means that the colored letters appear in light gray, and thus are unreadable and annoying. Second the pictures are many times of such low resolution they appear pixelated and hard to see. Thirdly, the instructions are thrown in a childish manner and use up lots of paper (lots of pages) for no reason at all. Too bad for the trees. This is by far the sloppiest work ever and looks as if an amateur user of microsoft word devised it. And I paid what for IT????????????????YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE ASHAMED
