Fab book
Probably one of the best plant-based recipe books I have read. The first part of the book delves into the importance of plants in our diet and cutting out processed foods. She also talks about meat and gives ways we can eat less meat and when we do to eat organic, grass fed varieties. I am definitely excited to try all the different recipes, definitely lots of new things for me to try in there.

Easy recipes for healthy eating!
A great book filled with lots of delicious recipes, focusing on plants to help make your body feel good. Instead of focusing on diet and weight loss alone, Dr Barbara takes a holistic approach towards health and healing oneself. Such an informative book on health as a whole with the added benefit of amazing recipes, my favourite is the Mediterranean Chickpea Salad!

Holistic living.
Virtually the first quarter of the book is taken up with advice about living a holistic reality with healthy foods. On a personal level I don’t agree with their hydration advice of eight glasses of water a day. In my humble opinion too much water can be bad for you.Breakfasts start out with a berry bowl, quinoa and sweet potato and kale hash. Soups can include creamy broccoli, carrot ginger and black bean and corn soup - spicy, of course.Moving to salads we have rainbow quinoa, Mediterranean chickpea and Summer peach and avocado. Each meal is broken down into its nutritional value; carbohydrates, proteins, fats and sugars and vitamins.Mains can include Thai peanut sweet potato, Indian chickpea curry and vegan mushroom risotto.Snacks include cucumber mint yogurt dip, the Lebanese tabbouleh and avocado hummus (an acquired taste in my opinion). A bit like Guinness.Desserts can include apple crisp, chocolate mousse and cashew coconut date rolls.Smoothies follow with the green detox one, the antioxidant berry blast and golden turmeric milk.The book concludes with menu plans and further talk about holistic living.

Great recipes!
Delicious recipes clearly explained and lots of great information about why these are great choices. I particularly liked some of the breakfast recipes.. defy anyone not to find a bunch of recipes they like - a great choice for anyone wanting to experiment more with plant based cooking

WOW!
I follow Dr. Barbara on social media and I’m blown away from her knowledge on health and wellness! So when I came across that she literally had cookbooks out there, it was a no-brainer to acquire this book. Simple ingredients are tasty, satisfying and clean ingredients!
