Worth the purchase.
So much fun! I bought this to try with a variety of items and have only used it once on dark chocolate for dried cranberries… It worked so good and were so amazing. I can’t wait to use it again. Be sure to follow the instructions clearly so that you don’t end up wasting chocolate though.

Little small
Its a little small if you are planning on doing any kind thing over a pound or so. It takes a lot of time. It is nice to be able to do this at home and get a pretty good result. Just making chocolate almonds to hand out to friends and family. Its the only option at this price range so I would totally buy it again. Give yourself plenty of time to make enough. Also get a hair dryer (with cold) and a dryer stand so that the dryer can point into it while it spins, it helps a lot.

Does Not Work With KitchenAid Professional
After purchasing this item, I realized that it does not work with my KitchenAid Professional because it needs the head to tilt up, and a Professional does not tilt. I was disappointed because I needed this for a specific project. Also, I did some research and realized that the Professional version has not been released and is not available. However, I fiddled with the SnackCoater a bit, and realized that if I found a way to tilt the whole front of the blender up, the Snackcoater might work. I put a book under the front and raised the entire machine up by 3 inches. Bingo! The KitchenAid is a very heavy machine and I found that even at higher speeds, this set up worked just fine. I was able to complete my project and will keep this SnackCoater until the professional becomes available.

Bowl for lift stand mixer is DEFECTIVE
HELL NO. I’m waiting for a second response from seller. I’m one of the first buyers for the lift stand mixer (versus tilt head) and I hadn’t seen another review on it prior to purchase. As far as fitting nicely on the mixer and spinning, this snack coater is fine. As far as finish, this item gets negative stars. There is a deep, grooved seam around the interior perimeter of the bowl. I attempted to scrub it and gray crumbly debris kept coming from the seam. You can see big crumbs of it in the water in my photos. I then realized even if I scrubbed it spotlessly clean, when using the bowl, food would get constantly trapped in the crack. The interior of the bowl should be seamless and polished smooth, this is a defect.I don’t know if this is just the particular bowl I have received, I contacted the seller and their response didn’t address my concern at all- they just responded asking if I’d had any issues using the bowl.I messaged again this morning, letting them know their response was completely unhelpful. At this point I’ll wait for a second response and see what they have to say, and if there is no resolution there, I’ll return the bowl I have in exchange for a new bowl. Hopefully, the interior of that one will be smooth.Right now my review is not only for a defective, unsatisfactory product, I’m disappointed with this seller’s very unhelpful customer service. Fingers are crossed that they change this because I know this would be a fantastic product without the interior defect.4.27 Just updating because seller has offered to send a new bowl- have my fingers crossed because I think this would be fantastic if it didn’t have this issue. Will update again once new bowl is received.

Would be nice if there was an additional Stabling Pieace
So I use to make candy in my old Job, kind of miss doing the coating process so was looking for the closes thing to a home version, well I should also add I live in a studio apartment so creativity is quite expansive, with that said, I am using a “Artisan Kitchen Aid Mini 3.5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer” if you have this unit you know you need “special sizing” and something work while other don’t, so I am here to tell you IT WORKS! But be sure that your KA unit is stable at lock settings, because coating takes hours, and you want it to be as stable as possible (understand you are introducing vibrations for hours on end). One last note, it MUST be in an upper angle because it is partly attached by gravity: hence the headline comment.
