Game changer
I am so grateful for this book!!! We have no OCD trained therapists is our area, so we rely on resources like this. My 9yo says it's easy to read and he enjoys the activities. You can often hear him use some of the language from this book when he's describing his worries or fears. For anyone considering buying this book....DO IT!! I also highly recommend Natasha's course to go along with it.

Fantastic resource for children, families and clinicians!
I have been a therapist for just over 20 years. I routinely treat OCD. I am always on the look out for resources to supplement treatment in the office or to offer families who can't afford weekly therapy, live too far away or whatever reason prevents them from working with a well trained ERP therapist. Well look no further! This is that resource. The book is written for kids and families. It is a concise and approachable book for beginners in OCD treatment as well as those well versed. Very easy to follow. Each chapter builds on the last. There are lots of metaphors which I love personally and help clients to better understand concepts. Another reviewer felt the metaphors would be difficult for some of her clients - I have not had that issue and in fact have had one patient state "wow that really makes sense now." This was in reference to understanding that OCD may have "many flavors but it's all ice cream." This is a difficult concept for many who get stuck in their "type" of OCD when it all boils down to the same treatment and core issue.I will be recommending my clients and families buy this workbook as an adjunct to therapy with me. Each chapter feels like a session. I see folks once a week for up to an hour. The real work of OCD happens at home, school, community. This workbook brings a sorely needed resource where it's needed most - in family homes. For a fraction of what one session would cost, you get a complete roadmap in how to address OCD. Now - yes, nothing replaces professional help, guidance and feedback - this workbook comes as close as it gets in my opinion. This author also has a fantastic podcast that I recommend often to families. Just google Natasha Daniels. Such a bright light in the OCD/Anxiety world!

One of the best books for kids with OCD
We have a teen and a child with OCD and this book is the best one I’ve found that is written for kids to comprehend all things OCD related. We have done a lot of research and looked into a lot of different books and Natasha Daniels and all her podcasts, courses and now this book have been incredibly helpful. If you are struggling with how to help your child with OCD themes, this is definitely the right book to buy. Also check out all of Natasha’s other resources she has on her website. Thank you Natasha!

A Very Empowering and Thorough Book
I am so excited to delve into this book with my daughter. It is very sequential and seems easy to use for parents and children. It starts with good analogy’s of what ocd is and how it “disguises” itself. Then it moves into different types of compulsions and has worksheets that help kids identify their intrusive thoughts and compulsions/rituals. That is as far as I have got so far but I am already learning a lot and we have been on the OCD path for 5+ years now. Natasha has a way of making OCD so understandable for kids and empowering them to gain the parts of their life back that Mr. O has taken away from them. Thank you Natasha for pouring your wealth of knowledge into a resource for those of us on the grounds fighting the OCD fight in our homes!
