I have used it twice. Then brought it to a mechanic. Their diagnosis was the same. So it works well.

The scanner said it was made to use for all cars but won't scan for Japanese cars 😕

This is a pretty useful tool that gives a lot of information. I had to plug it in to my computer and update prior to using it, which was very easy. The scanner I had before this one couldn’t diagnose our Silverado but this one found the issue right away. The interface is user friendly and is great for beginners. The scanner and software has no faults that i could personally find, however the cord is kind of short and it does not come with a case. The cord is not that big of a deal but not having a storage case for an item that has a screen of this size in a garage environment is kind of asking for trouble. I would recommend for beginners and would highly recommend if it had a case.

We have an older model classic vehicle that throws a check engine signal now and again. It's usually something to do with my gas cap. We take it to a mechanic who uses this tool to diagnose the problem. Well now we can diagnose our own car and save time and money. You never know if these mechanics are being honest so now we have the evidence right in front of us so no chance to scam any more. This is a must have. Hubby loves it!
