This is such a quick and effective way of creating a French character. All you need to do is pair it with a stripy top and you're done.The set consists of three items - the string of garlic, a black beret and impressive handlebar moustache.The garlic is fantastically realistic and the beret fully elasticated, so that it can fit any head. The kit comes with six moustaches. These simply have a peel off back and you stick them to your face. I just tore off the middle section of the backing paper and it stayed put very well. If you were wearing it all day though you'd probably stick the whole thing to your face but fear not, the adhesive is not so strong that it's painful to remove the moustache - there will be no impromptu facial waxing using these!Terrific fun and instantly recognisable as being French, albeit in a slightly caricaturesque fashion, this set is great value at £8.95 (at time of ordering).

Products comes with 6 mustaches, a beret and garlic 'necklace'. Quality of beret feels very cheap. Mustaches stick very well to face and it is good that it comes with additional taches to make the costume re-useable for more than one occasion. Garlic necklace is very realistic in looks but can be very itchy after a short period of use.

The beret is cheaply made, as is the moustache. The garlic braid is quite authentic in terms of looks, and the bulbs weigh barely anything, which makes it ideal for a fancy dress party.

I have a 'film set' in a daft place in my house, so if visitors fancy they can Don some fancy dress, get the clapper board out, and take a suitable selfie. All in good fun!So! The garlic is really realistic! The moustaches stick well - so spares if you need them. And the beret! My head is 69cm so a bit bigger. I could comfortably wear this for an evening and I'm sure I'd not get a headache. Positioning it, I'm sure it would fit lots of size heads.I think for price vs quality this is a 5/5, and I'm sure it has a wide range of sizes it would fit, backing up my score of 5/5.

This set arrives exactly as described in the listing. It has been tested out by my drama class, and found to live up to the rigours of play. The moustaches are great for wearing once or twice, but as they adhere to the skin, you can't reuse them - a shame if it's for a kids' dressing up box, but fine if it's for a one-off outfit, e.g. world book day, fancy dress party. You do get 5 adhesive moustaches though! The onions look a little more like garlic than onions, but I'm sure that most children wouldn't notice.

My son wanted to be a 'french' person for world book day, no idea what book that meant so we settled on the author of the 'The Little Prince' - this set works well, paired with a breton top. Not the best quality, some fake garlic and a hat, will not survive being used many times but works ok for something like world book day (not hallowen as french people are not scary). Is it cultural appropriate, probably ok. Does it work? Yes.
