Pros:- Lightning connector to connect directly to iPhone, also has USB-C input to power the phone while recording- Green light to indicate device is paired- Good range - able to go up flight of stairs and into a separate room and record clear audio. Stated range is 100 ft- Two different mic wind screens - foam and furry- No app required - plug and play- I used the device for 2 hour duration on single charge. Stated duration is 4-8 hours recording.Cons:- I didn't pay close attention when I attached the clips to the mic. They can attach left-to-right or right-to-left but they don't rotate. I don't seem to be able to disconnect the clip to reattach, I believe it can be done but I'm fearful of cracking the plastic.

My friend and I wanted to start a podcast together, and figure these would work out well. They arrived in a timely manner and were well packaged. There was no visible damage, and the microphones package was sealed in plastic. It was easy enough still to get them out of the package and they seem to be made well. I wouldn't say they are the best, but definitely made to last a while.When we connected them it worked right away for one phone, but not for the other. Once I restarted my phone it did connect. I was hopeful that it wouldn't happen every time I needed to connect the mic, and thankfully it didn't do it again after that initial time. When speaking into them they sounded almost like we were talking into our phone mics. It was slightly clear when the mic was close to your neck and attached to your shirt. It also was clearer when it was right in front of your face. I wish this was a little better, but for someone just starting out it works.Comparing it price wise to other similar items, it is in the low to middle range in price. In my opinion for the price point you are getting a relatively good bargain - especially if you are just starting out. If you have been recording videos for a while, this may not be up to your quality standards. I am not sure I would recommend this to everyone, but I may to some.

The sound on these mics came through loud and clear. They picked up loud background noises but not everything. Even when touching the mic cover it didn’t sound awful. No issues with the audio quality whatsoever. I was honestly pleasantly surprised.These microphones were also super easy to use. They charge quickly and have a little light to indicate battery level. When I plugged the receiver into my phone it started using the mic immediately no problem. The included headphones are not the best quality but they get the job done. I won’t be using them tbhThe mics have a decent grippy clamp. The carry bag isn’t crazy nice but it is a good touch. I also liked the extra mic covers. Overall this set felt very well thought out and complete. And it really is good quality for the price. Cant recommend this one enough.

I've been using a set of wired microphone that I bought back in 2020 and it was time to upgrade, so I did!The IUMakevp its so easy to use, just plug and play. It has auto-pairing synchronization, active noise cancellation and you do not need an app a wire or bluetooth connection for installing it. You just literally plug them to the end of the lightning connector of your Iphone and press the button on the back of the microphone and that's it you are ready to record.The IUMakeup comes with a user manual, which is easy to navigate trough in case you need to refer to it; It comes with two extra clips, two extra foam covers for the microphones, two earplugs that you can connect to the microphone to make sure that is on, and a charger that you can attach either to the microphones or to the receiver to charge them.I personally have used it for two separate videos and as if now I haven't had the need to charge them, I used them for my voiceover you tube videos that last for more than 10 minutes an you know that for a video this long there are so many takes that you have to do before the video. As if now it has not disappoint; so I am petty happy with it.

This is why I’m starting to trust Amazons affiliates more and more. I bought this microphone for a friend as a gift. Normally, I would try things out immediately to make sure they work because Amazon quality has lowered.I just got a message that my friend opened up the gift and tried to use it on their computer, which is a new Apple and it wouldn’t work not only did it not work, but the charger wouldn’t fit into the receptor. So disappointed that I can’t send this back!

When I first tried to plug the microphone in, I had to spend 30-45 minutes troubleshooting because when I recorded a voice memo, it became clear that even though the mic was plugged in and the lights were green, the iPhone was still using the built-in mic instead of this mic. What solved it was turning my phone off and on again. This is the reason why I wish they integrated some kind of alert or indicator that would let you know that the microphone source is the Lavalier microphone, but this is more on Apple than the manufacturer.Overall the mic quality is decent, maybe a tad bit better than the built-in mic. However, the projection capabilities are subpar and did not pick up as much speech as the built-in mic did for me when testing in conversational settings. Furthermore, I could not even use the mic for a full 6 hours without the mic losing battery. Not sure if I'd recommend.

The media could not be loaded. One of the 2 microphones it is broken, even if I put it on the charger it doesn’t turn on

I bought this remote mic set up eyes wide open. They are not top of the line but more than suffice for my use case. They work as advertised, no complaints there, EXCEPT.....I have a Google Pixel 7 XL....they do NOT plug and play. I had to download the free "Open Camera" app off the Google Store, go to audio settings and click on External Mic. It was a pain to begin with, instructions don't tell you this. I had to do some research to figure it out. Turns out I am in the majority....why they don't add this is the useless instructions is beyond me. To recap....good value mic, pain in the butt to set up first time if you have Android. Would I purchase again? Yes....now that I know the fix.
