A Great Starter Fountain Pen
Appearance:The pen isn't too gaudy for my taste and comes inn two main colors (a third in small quantity on the clip). I've had it for about three months now and it's held up nicely. The best looking part of this pen is the nib which is pretty great looking. The only thing I don't like is the branding on the part of the pen where the pen connects to the barrel. It's not a major detractor but rather a matter of my personal taste.Function:It writes very consistently and very smoothly with just a touch of feedback (which I've only noticed since buying higher-end pens) which I don't mind at all. It also works well with both cartridges and the screw-in converter. I've used two different color inks in it and haven't had any contamination nor have I had any leaks. There's also less nib creep with better inks. I've used it both on cheap copy paper and limestone paper and it's done well on both. The clip is quite springy though this isn't a result of its design but rather more of the metal and thickness of said metal used in its construction. I haven't actually clipped it to anything as I don't in general, so I can't speak to that aspect of its longevity. The weight isn't strenuous enough to cause me to have writing fatigue but this is also a very personal aspect to consider. Conclusion:I definitely recommend this as a starter pen for those wanting to see if fountain pens may be for them. It's cheap in terms of cost but doesn't skimp on equivalent quality. Practically, I'd give it five stars but it doesn't have the wow factor for me to give it five on a personal level.

Great Value Pen
I've never had a bad Jinhao. They are more than fairly priced and good quality. This pen is no exception. The nib is pleasant though not buttery smooth. I haven't had any issues with skipping or hard starts. You can get a small amount of line variation, but I wouldn't push it. I noticed more shading than I expected for a fine nib, but the ink may have played a part in that. I used Noodler's Forest Green because I haven't used that ink in a while. The feed keeps up pretty well with fast writing. The grip is long and smooth and tapers down to the nib section. There is also a very minimal step up from the grip to the barrel. The cap posts securely, but it is back heavy when posted. The cap is also very secure when the pen is capped, but it isn't so tight that it's difficult to pull off. To me, it's the perfect balance between knowing it won't accidentally come off if the pen ends up flying through the air and not having ink spray every time you wrestle to break the seal.It is a fairly average sized pen. It might fall a tad on the slender side of you're used to heftier pens, but I wouldn't say it's skinny. I have fairly small hands though. It has a nice weight to it, but it's not overly heavy. I really like the finish on the pen. I'm not generally a fan of red, but something about the combination of the design etched into the body and the color and the finish reminds me of a dragon even though the design really is nothing like dragon scales. The pen as a whole feels sturdy, and I'm not too worried about the finish; it shouldn't come off or scratch too easily with normal use.All in all, I think this is a pretty sharp looking reliable workhorse pen, and I'm glad to add it to my collection.

My favorite pen
This is by far my favorite fountain pen. I've been using it for over a year, but I just bought a few more so I can keep different colored inks in them. It writes so smoothly, it just glides over the paper, and so far, it's never pooled. The body is a little heavier than other fountain pens I use, but I rather like that about it. I also like that the cap fits neatly on the back of the pen (not all pens do that well), and the leather sheath is perfect. It protects the exterior of the pen, it keeps it from rolling around on a table, and the leather is a much higher quality than others I've seen.If you enjoy writing with fountain pens, then I highly recommend you try this pen. It would be a wonderful gift idea too.

Great Pen for the Price
I am not one to write reviews but in this case it was warranted. i have a few expensive fountain pens and always wondered what an inexpensive one would be like or for that fact write like, so i decided to order from amazon the ‘Jinhao Blue Fountain Pen Fine Nib Writing Gift Advanced Pen with Ink Converter Signature Collection Set’ since this was a pen that i have heard good things about. It did not come in a box but rather wrapped nicely in a bubble wrap packaging. For $11.99 i was rather surprised how elegant this pen looked. It also had a good weight to it. i filled the pen with montblanc ink from the bottle into its ink converter (that was included) and after doing so the ink flowed rather quickly out of the very nice fine point nib. there really was not that much of a delay to get it started. It wrote very smoothly and did not skip. The pen in my rather large hands seemed a bit narrow but it did not prevent me from producing beautiful letters with it (see attached pic). All in alI I would recommend this pen to anyone who would like to add an inexpensive yet quality made pen to their collection. You will not be disappointed.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BQMR9HN/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3
