The Magic Box That Saved My Ancient TV from Retirement!
I was this close to sending my 10-year-old LED TV to the electronic graveyard (a.k.a. the garage), when this miraculous little box appeared like a wizard at my doorstep. My brand-new, fancy sound bar sat there looking at my TV like they were from two different planets. But no longer! With a coaxial-to-optical audio converter, I turned my ancient relic of a TV into a high-tech audio-blasting machine. It was like watching a caveman discover fire. Plugged it in, crossed my fingers, and BOOM—Dolby Digital, baby! No sacrifices to the tech gods were necessary. This converter worked so easily, I half expected it to brew me a cup of coffee while setting up. Literally plug-and-play—no instructions needed, unless you're someone who still gets confused by microwaves. Now my dinosaur TV and brand-new sound bar are in perfect harmony, blasting sounds so clear that I heard the neighbor sneeze two blocks away. This little box of magic is a life-saver and probably the reason my old TV won't retire anytime soon. Best 20 bucks I've ever spent!

2006 Phillips TV to 2010 Bose system works now.
Was able to connect my old a$$ Phillips tv to my somewhat old a$$ Bose speakers. Works great! I ain’t got the money to buy new tech for the amount I use it, so this was a nice way to get them to play with each other.

Does not work
:( I'm very sad I got busy and waited over a month, now I can't return it. :( I am techy, have many electronics like this. This one just doesn't work.

Works Well
Edit: This device works nicely, just remember to update the settings on your soundbar or whatever device you're plugging this into.I was able to get sound from my computer to my soundbar with this device.

Better Than Your Average Converter
Product worked fine, but the input to my receiver wasn't working. Would suggest this one over the others as the wires are already tied together in the little box.

This worked well for analog to digital audio
This worked great to take a 3.5mm analog audio jack for my computer and convert it to an optical connection for an older model TV soundbar that only had an optical input. You may want to test it using a separate USB charger vs plugging the USB power cable for the converter into the computer; when I first installed it via USB power plugged into an open USB port on the computer, there was a slight buzz to the sound, probably from a ground loop. I fixed that by using an old 1 amp USB phone charger power supply for power instead of the computer. Works well.

Extended the Use of Optical Speakers
Simple to hookup. Works great. From Mac-Mini headphone output to optical speakers. No degradation in sound quality.

First package arrived opened, used with missing parts. Seller rectified the situation quickly.
This shows as being a commonly returned item, and the package initially received was clearly one of these returns, open box, loose cables and missing parts.I contacted the seller who quickly arranged to have a replacement sent to me.I’m using this device to backup audio from a Walkman cassette player headphone socket to a Sony Minidisc player digitally (via TOSLINK). This works well and sound quality is great.
