Ludovico Einaudi: Portrait

Although I'm unfamiliar with this French-Canadian artist and her troupe, and only picked up on this wonderful album through Classic FM, I have to say that it blows me away ! Any lover of great music and orchestration would surely enjoy this astonishing collection of thirteen 'interpretations' of Einaudi compositions.We're all likely to have a favourite track of course, but 'Run' at 4 mins 49 secs really does hitch up its skirts and launch for the stars ! (Amongst all this sublime fiddling, only 'Svanire' seems a little lacking, at least to my ears. )Anyway, go-ahead and buy it, send it to #1, and see how you feel !

great music: Angele Dubeau is a good violinist but here she has done better than ever because I think Ludovico has given her the right imputes for a unique performance. As a purist in reproductions (CD stereo system) It is recommended to listen to it with good speakers (ie: harman kardon sound sticks)

Excellent interpretation of the original by Einaudi giving it a fresh feeling because if the violin and orchestra.

Just buy it. There are quite a few Ludovico cover albums but Angele is probably one of the best . After this I listened to some of her other work which I believe to be even better.

I am a big Einaudi fan and have all of his albums. I was a little disappointed with this album. For me it failed to hit the spot.
