I was unable to find distilled water in the grocery stores this winter and decided to just make what I needed for myself. This product was easy to get up and running but the direction could use a good English rewrite. I did not put the handle on the glass pot because it was easier to handle without it. It takes 4 hours to produce one gallon and the machine shuts off automatically at the end of the cycle. My tap water reads at 234 TDS and after going through the distiller I get a reading of only 2 TDS. I mainly used the distilled water for my CPAP machine (goes through a gallon a week) and my iron. The appliance is rather large and has a large footprint so make sure you have space for it. It takes up more space than my Kitchen Aid professional mixer. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a constant supply of distilled water.

Saves money, time,driving,hauling,lugging heavy bottles, we are so happy …other than cleaning the boiling pot after use ( literally scrub with soap pad) it’s great .. we have several gallon bottles full …distilled water does not go bad … it’s pure ,taste great ( guest noticed difference ) I would recommend this to anyone still drinking out of plastic 12or 16 oz bottles

Very easy to use. The fan is very noisy. Do not plan on having a conversation or watching TV while it is running. But it will fill our needs nicely overall. No more buying and hauling jugs of water. No more plastic bottles to drag to the recycle. As far as the leaking - an interesting issue. It worked fine for me the first two uses and I thought the leaking must be user error. Then it leaked big time. I then thought the metal cap was the culprit as it is not form fitting and it slides around. So I left that cap off and the actual jug moved so water went every where! My husband thinks the machine vibrates so much it makes the jug move (No they weren't touching each other). I wondered if a bit of condensation got on the bottom of the jug so it slid. Maybe a poltergeist moved it. I now put a rag under the jug making sure it or the jug are not touching the machine, leave the spout lid off, and it seems to be staying put! No more leaks!

We run a humidifier for our bedroom and my husbands guitars constantly AND I use it for my facial steamer. So easy to use and worth every penny vs paying for distilled water and lugging it back and forth from the store

Had the thing 8 mos, used it 2 times now the fan binds on the housing and shuts off

No problems setting this up, or using it. Had it for several months now, and use it almost every day. I use filtered water, and even so, I continue to be flabbergasted at the amount of stuff left behind! To think I was drinking that crud all this time! Worth every penny.

So far so good. 2 months old and I've made distilled water 4 times. It is big and heavy. I have it on the garage work bench. Not something I would display in my kitchen and I don't want to lug it out of a cabinet each time.

Of course the directions have a hint of foreign language in them and the pictures are not very clear BUTanyone can put it together in no time.
