As someone who lived through the events in the book, I was still fascinated reading Battle for the Bird and learned so much about the tech industry and how billionaires think. It's amazing to look back on the past several years and reflect on landmark moments in our society that will go down in history, like Trump's Twitter account or the debates around social media privacy and free speech. I also didn't know a lot about Twitter or the Elon Musk takeover except for snippets from news headlines, but the author added so much inside knowledge. The book is so well researched but the author avoids simply lecturing the reader due to his great story telling skills. Even at the end, when the story was caught up to present day, I wanted to keep reading to see what happens next.
