Replaced my Cloud 9
I started with a Cloud 9 suspension saddle, and that was great for the first few months.Eventually, it was just too big, and I moved to the Cloud 9 sport. It was better, but a little hard. I thought I'd move back, but found the big saddle was just too big, and not grippy. I slipped off and was just not comfy. So I rode the sport saddle for another 4 months, and then tried the athletic saddle. It was much more streamlined, and less padded. It was really not comfortable for endurance rides, nor my level of fitness.About a month ago, which was 8 months into my riding, I picked up this saddle, the Selle Royal Respiro Moderate. The Amazon price was 3/4 of my LBS, but I still worried that it was a bit much.I can tell you my worries were unfounded. It took me one ride to adjust to this seat... or rather a quarter of a ride. I put 60 miles onto this and I felt about the same as 30 miles on my previous saddle. Then, I put 80 miles on it, and I was already adapted... All was good. I've put a total of about 275 miles on this over the last month, and am really happy with it.I'm not sure what I'll want in another 3 months, but this really could have been my first saddle. It's soft in all the right places, with dense memory foam inside. The cover is a soft rubber that is just grippy enough to keep me put when in cycling shorts, but not so grippy that my shorts bunch up. There is a generous channel in the center that reduces perineal pressure. There is a forward facing vent that catches wind and directs it up through the channel and out the back to reduce sweat and heat in the seat. The vents are covered with a screen to keep bugs and debris from flying up there. The rails are strong and have no real flex for me, 260 pounds and 6'6" (119kg and 197cm). A friend who is about 5'7 and about 130 LBS has one and is also happy with it over a few more miles than I have on mine.SUMMARY: This is a great saddle for anyone working their way up to longer rides. This is probably good for a BMI of 35 or less. If you're heavier, and/or wear denim to ride, then the Cloud 9 suspension saddle might be a better start. It has good springs and a wider seat.

Good seat
I am 145lbs 5'6" and I ride a hybrid fairly aggressively. In between a racing stance and sitting straight up. I have had problems with the nerves in my feet and prostate often going numb on long rides. I don't have an enlarged prostate so not sure how this would work. My experience once I worked out the best angle for the seat is that it is very comfortable and does not cause numbness. The seat is large enough to allow some movement to different positions, but not so wide that it interferes, chafes, my thighs. I highly recommend the seat, it has made long rides more enjoyable.

Much more comfortable than my stock seat
Having purchased a wind trainer, I’ve started rigorously exercising using my Raleigh SC 30, 21-speed bike. Everything works great, but the stock seat is extremely uncomfortable over a long period of time. I’m a rather svelte fellow, at about 6’ and 185 lbs. I don’t have a lot of natural cushion on my rear and my older seat causes pain around the bones in my butt. It also causes circulation problems when I sit for longer periods.I spent time on Amazon researching loads of men’s bike seats and settled on this saddle for a few reasons. It’s not the athletic seat, which is very streamline, and it’s not a general riding seat, which is much wider in the back, designed for a more upright sitting position. This is a medium seat that slopes you at about a 60% angle. The Raleigh SC 30 is a hybrid bike that is a bit like a mountain bike that can also be used on the road. The Selle Royal Respiro Moderate Xsenium saddle seemed to be a nice selection for my riding style and anatomy. The seat is plenty stylish. It is sleek and black and has nice lines. It’s not overly wide in the back and isn’t tall. It has a modest weight and is much lighter than my old, stock Raleigh seat. Installation was typical. It fits on the universal mount using a common Allen wrench. This seat has a channel running through it that brings air through the center of the saddle, allowing for a natural airflow. I haven’t taken it out to test how effective this is, but it appears to be a nice design in theory.I’ve spent a number of hours on this seat already. It’s much more comfortable than my old seat, although not a perfect solution that eliminates all discomfort. Where I notice the most comfort is in the manly areas that most males have problems with. I have no circulation problems at all with this seat. Where I’m still having discomfort is around the bones of my butt. I’m not sure if there’s a solution to this, unless I just get a couch cushion and install it on the bike, which is not an option. The gel within the seat pads does help some, but without some added cushion, after about 30 minutes, it gets uncomfortable.I’m going to try padded riding pants. I think this might solve this one issue. Aside from this one issue, I really like this seat. For me, it’s a decent size and it looks great. I think I just need to experiment to find out what works best for me during longer rides. If you’re like me and experience problems with discomfort around the inner bones in your butt area, consider the larger riding seat by Selle. You should carefully evaluate each Selle seat and select the one that is best for your riding style and body type.

Very comfortable seat
About a week ago, I was riding my Road Bike, and I had severe pain on my perineum. (The perineum is located between the legs and covers the prostate.) I did some research and found that bicycling could cause prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate). Someone mentioned taking time off from biking and get a seat that accommodates the perineum.I took four days off from my daily routine of 21 miles per day. I instantly noticed an improvement from my prostate symptoms, so I started looking for saddles and this one was on a list I saw. It is reasonably priced and fits my requirements. I just want something that feels comfortable.I started using it today, and after about four attempts to adjust the seat, I finally found a spot that works well. I do have short legs, I'm 5'6", so I think this seat may be designed for taller people. I have the seat pulled forward as far as possible, and it just fits. So, I think this is a good pick for someone experiencing perineum pain, and would recommend it.

Superbe produit.
Cette selle me permet de parcourir des dizaines de kilomètres en vélo sans souffrir d’une anesthésie de la zone pelvienne qui apparaît autrement après une ou deux heures de pédalage.

Great upgrade from the stock bike seat
The rail under my stock bike seat bent and was looking for a replacement. I read the features of this seat and liked the gel feature and was curious about the air vent in the middle.I noticed the price of this seats fluctuates a lot (currently $96.45 CDN so I waited and got mine for about $46 CDN.Out of the box, it felt pretty stiff. After a couple of rides though I do notice it softening up little by little. After the first ride, it felt comfortable and even more so after each ride. I tried to put my hand over the vent while riding to see if it really works but I don't notice much air coming through. Regardless, the open channel relieves pressure in the sensitive areas and didn't make it sweaty more than my old seat. Combined with the padded cycling shorts I have, it doesn't leave me with a sore ass after even a leisurely 3hr ride. The branding "Respiro" on the nose of the seat does rub off after while since your thighs tend to rub on it when wearing baggy shorts. No biggie, I actually like less branding on it anyways. The rails on the bottom are wide enough for my cable lock to thread through when locking it up. Something I couldn't do with my stock seat. All in all a good seat. Great for the price if you time your purchase correctly.
