Would love to give this a better review
This was my first marble run model and I didn't understand how they work. Eventually, I got it together but with a few too many slip-ups that had to be undone and redone. The run does not drop the balls through all the holes, so one track is unused. Too bad, as it would have made it movement more interesting. I ended up having to glue various small pieces to keep them in place. There are two gaps that keep allowing the marbles to fling themselves off in all directions. Now that it's all together, pieces and marbles fall off now and then, so it seems to need fairly constant maintenance (I still can't retrieve one marble that found its way behind a cabinet). When it works, it is fun to watch for awhile. But I wouldn't recommend this for children as it is too fragile and can't handle vigorous turning of the handle+.

Fun times
This was fun to put together. The instructions were much better then I thought they would be. Did break one part but was able to glue it back together. There were extra parts and the instructions says there are.

I don't recommend this product. The following is a copy of the email I sent to nicknack, (private details omitted). I have yet to receive a response. On July 20th, 2024, I ordered the Night Light Track City Marble Run manufactured by nicknack, (order # 0289537-0151432) from Amazon. I had it delivered to my daughter's house as a project for me and my grandson to do when I arrived. During the assembly process, my grandson and I discovered there were: (4) B2 parts missing, (punch outs on the black boards where pieces should have been) used to hold other pieces together. Two of them, (2 B2's) were too large to hold anything together. One of the clear plastic pieces, (M) was cracked and another, (A) had a square connection on the right side that needed to be round in order to fit and allow the part to swing from side to side. There were also two (A23's) that weren't notched properly and broke while trying to attach them with their connecting part, (A24) which also broke and in turn caused the two curved tracks, (A28 & A29) to break. Also, missing was (A16).We spent seven days, (3-4 hours per day) working on this to have only one hole and one run for the marbles to go due to what I described above and having no replacement parts. That being said, in spite of complex assembly instructions, we enjoyed the project and would still very much love to see it completed. Below is a list of the parts we need in order to make that happen. I'm happy to pay for these pieces and shipping if need be. Also, we did this project while I was visiting my grandchildren in San Antonio Texas. I've since returned to Florida and would very much appreciate it if you would send the replacements directly to my daughter's house so she and my grandson can finish it properly and enjoy it the way the way it was meant to too. Her address is as follows:Replacements needed:Clear, Plastic Parts(1) M - was cracked(1) A - unattachable (squared instead of round) part can't swingBlack Wooden Parts:(6) B2's - 4 missing from the board & 2 that were drilled out to large to hold anything together.(2) A23's - not notched properly and broke(1) A24 - broke while connecting to the A23's(1) A28 - broke result of A23 & A24 connection(1) A29 - same as A28(1) A16 - missingPlease understand that we did glue parts back together, (more than once), but they would just brake again. Anything you can do will be much appreciated. IThank you for your courtesy and cooperation.

Poor quality. Poor fit
Numerous parts were loose from boards and on the bottom of the box. Had to use glue on several parts due to loose fit, have LOTS of glue on hand. Needed to modify parts get to function half way correct. Be prepared to spend time making “adjustments “. All around poor quality. “Veneer” peels easily. Disappointed!

Virtually impossible to assemble correctly
This puzzle looks good on the box picture, but with over 300 and 50 parts and 67 steps, it is at best extremely difficult to complete. This puzzle is not for people with arthritis in the hands more people with any kind of eye-hand coordination, or dexterity problems. Some of the parts are 1 mm in size and are virtually impossible to pick up even with small hands. If you have tweezers you might get lucky. There are four sub assemblies that you make at the beginning so you have to test these and they have to be put together exactly as shown in the diagram. There is no room for error, and I mean no room at all. You make one mistake, the puzzle will not work and even if you don't make any mistakes, sometimes the balls do not roll down the tracks correctly, being 100 or 200 microns off. Yes, that's millions of an inch off and you have to stretch the rails and hopefully not break them so the ball can actually roll down the tracks. And for that reason this is not a fun project at all and gives new meaning to the word challenging. Another problem arises when you pop out a needed part and other parts that you don't need also come out which makes them hard to find them later, although each part is numbered on the frame and on the part itself. Many of the parts look identical but they are not, and if you put it in backwards the puzzle will not work. Another problem arises when you try to install a part in another part that you've installed comes loose so you're stuck with thinking about gluing the parts, but even one drop of glue out of place will block something and the puzzle will not work. There are also six lights that you have to turn on independently and that alone takes a minute and sometimes they don't turn on at all. Sometimes they twinkle. And really it's something that once you get done it's very boring unless you're a kid and like to watch the balls go up and down. I cannot recommend this puzzle. The tolerances are ridiculous, the parts are too small, the parts are too delicate and they break easily even though they are made out of wood, some of them 1 mm or 2 mm wide. Sometimes the part will break taking it out of the sheet of which there are eight. Sheets e, f, g, h have acrylic coverings on both sides, and you have to peel these off but the sheet does not come off all at once so you have to peel sometimes very small parts the size of a fingernail on both sides and this is where you lose a lot of time. Do not believe anyone who says they put this puzzle together less than ten hours, it is humanly impossible. I spent more than 50 hours over a month just getting the thing to work because sometimes the diagrams are confusing and they have arrows going through this and that, and it's not exactly clear where there go. Sometimes they show angles of completed subassemblies which is helpful, but there is no text to help. There are microscopic burrs left over from the templates which can interfere with the operation so you have to be very careful to get these off without breaking the pieces.I canceled all my wish list orders for these puzzles because they are just too frustrating and infuriating to even hope that it will work. Absolutely not recommended, especially for anyone under 18 or those with no patience, no hand/eye coordination, or with any kind or those with large fingers because it's just impossible I don't know how they got the one together on the picture but it was probably very small people working in teams or professional model builders, but you will probably regret this purchase.No. Just--no!
