Great Product!! Really Works!!
I waited to review this product after ordering a couple in the beginning of the pool season to see if they actually work. They do!! I sadly had found a few chipmunks :( and a frog clinging to the top of the skimmer basket in the first week after the pool was opened.I installed the frog logs (easy to do) and am happy to report not a single critter was found in the pool for the rest of the pool season!! I also noticed far less bugs floating in the pool. I guess they find their way onto the logs as well.Highly recommend!!

Works great and saves animals!
This product was insanely easy to set up and has given me such peace of mind. I’ve had an instant and drastic improvement in the a lot of wildlife I find unfortunately either passed away or struggling in the pool. After putting this out, I have not come outside to see one animal of any kind in our pool even once. Amazing.

This wierdly does work - no more dead frogs
First time homeowner and pool owner. We had frogs suiciding themselves on repeat, so I gave this a try. Stopped finding frogs in the pool and skimmer. I took it out once it started getting cold, but apparently it wasn't cold enough; the next day a frog was on the bottom of the pool (fortunately still alive and I fished him out). I put it back in, and again no frogs. I've never seen a frog use it to escape, but I believe they must be using it. We had a dead frog every few days before.

Seems to be working great!
So far, no critters in my skimmer! This season I would have expected 2-3 birds, a rabbit, and a few frogs to be floating in my skimmer, but there has been nothing since putting this in my pool. I placed mine a few feet down from the skimmer, and I guess that's working ok even though I technically need two of these for my pool size. But so far, no critters, so I'm happy! That said, this is like the water cooler for wolf spiders, so there are 5-6 huge spiders congregated on this thing at all times, waiting for bugs to get caught in the netting at the bottom for easy dinner. You annoy one of those spiders and about a thousand babies come out of it, so having a nice place for them that's not easy to clean out is a bit annoying. But overall, I'd rather deal with a tiny bit of daily annoyance (hit the thing with my net a few times and scoop up all the bugs) than have to deal with disposing of dead animals. So, overall it's a win.Update 2020: Last season went well too, with nothing but one snake in the skimmer. I noticed when checking everything out prior to this season that the foam platform is a bit worse for wear, but it will probably last one more year. I consider this a good deal. So, 4 seasons of use out of something that sits in water and sunlight for half the year is pretty good. I appreciate no more gross dead critters in my skimmer.

Literal life saver!
I installed this frog log after having 20+ bats fly into my pool one night this summer, many of which couldn’t get out. I then wanted more and purchased two off branded “frog logs”, to save on cost. The original frog log has held up perfectly, whereas the off branded ones will not last a second season. These have been in the pool nearly the same amount of time and the original still looks new!Even better, I’ve only found one dead frog in my skimmer in the 3.5 months that I’ve had these installed- I used to find at least one almost every day. I’ll definitely be buying more for next summer!

I no longer have to scoop frogs out of the pool or skimmer basket!
these have worked out perfectly. I spent a long time researching. There has not been a single animal or reptile- not one time – since I put these two out, and before that it was weekly, if not daily. I was getting up in the morning and worrying about what little creature is drowning and running outside to save them every day. Now I no longer have to worry! because of their placement, the one in the open pool area has got caught up in our pool robot cord two times in the last three months. Not a big deal, but the one time we were out of town and the pool robot pulled the little frog log around enough to open the Velcro and the rocks fell out. The solution to this would be to not overfill the pouch with rocks lol. I kind of prefer mine to have as many rocks as possible in order to be a little heavier, so instead of taking the rocks out, I stitched it with a needle and thread, so there's no way for the rocks to fall out again. they didn't even move during a tropical storm. I think it's 100% worth it, but they do block a little bit of the long stemmed Pineneedles that would normally flow into the skim basket. I mean, obviously, you have to put the frog logs in front of the skimmer where the animals are going to get dragged, so this is just a trade off. This doesn't bother me at all – I'd rather take a handful of pineneedles from next to the frog log every once in awhile, then stick my hand in the skimmer basket anyways. really a great product.

I haven’t found a critter in the pool since getting this
For years we have considered getting these to save our lizards. Usually think of it after scooping one out and forget by the time I get in the house. After saving tiny lizards two days in a row I marched in and ordered one. As little as the recent victims were not sure if they would be able to climb out, I hope so with the skirt of netting. (I just attached a picture of one of our saved lizards because he is cute.) To install the only thing you have to do is blow up the bladder, slip in some plastic pieces for the bridge and fill up the pouch with pebbles or rocks. The canvas it is made of is heavy and feels and looks well made. We will see if it holds up and saves our critters.

Saves the lizards!!
At least we think it does because we had a few dead ones prior and none since. And we’ve got allot of lizards! Looks good as well.

Perfect Little Rescue Floaty
If you get any sort of little creatures in your pool, this is for you! We were on vacation in Florida and saw these. I order them immediately. Frogs, squirrels, mice, moles...any little thing that falls in (and around here, they fall in a LOT) will eventually find it's way to the pad and, at the very least, have a safe place to sit until I can get them out. (Some creatures don't seem to get that they can climb up the little mesh and be on their way so they just sit there). It works great and I don't have to take little dead things out of my skimmer every day. And the other best part...you get to see that frogs, mice, and other little creatures can all get along on the same 'boat' together until help arrives. :-)
