Add to acrylic paint in a one to four ratio, mix well.
BLUEBIRD Acrylic Paint Retarder 3.4 Fl. Oz. / 100 ML, Artist Colors Acrylic Retarder, Additive MediumFirst impressions: Nice small bottle of paint drying retarder. The bottle is full and is ready to use.Installation/setup: Add to acrylic paint in a one to four ratio, mix well.Final thoughts: The paint retarder is a clear gel. It’s in a squeeze bottle with a flip top. The gel is thick and comes out as a blob, really. The best way I found to use it is to squirt some out on the palette and then pick up a small amount with your brush or a stir stick. Mix well, and the paint should last quite a while. I have a palette that has a cover with a seal so I just need to spray some water on the paint wells to keep them moist. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Does exactly what it needs to.
I’m not a liquid/pour art person (though I’d like to try) but I can say this worked great for slowing down my dry times on my paints. It added a slight sheen/gloss to it but it can be easily dulled with gesso for a more matte finish. At just around 8$, the price is right - I would have liked it to be a larger size though so it goes a little farther. Thats art supplies for you I suppose. Overall I’m happy with the medium and would buy it again if I didn’t have time to run to the store.

Never liked acrylic before
Acrylic was NOT mu medium because of how fast it dried. it could be nice for a quick little fun small project, but I would never pick it up otherwise. While that is a huge perk for working with acrylics, it just wasn't how I preferred for the way I work. I was all for oil, gouache, anything but acrylic. This totally changed it! I don't know why I waited so long to try this. I'm in love.

So helpful in extending dry time
This paint retarder works so well at giving me time to work on a painting without worrying about the paint drying on the palette before I even get to use it. I live in the desert and on hot days, even using a wet palette doesn't always give me enough working time to do what I need to do before the paint is dry on the palette. I've been using this gel in combination with the wet palette and finally feel like I'm not being rushed through everything or wasting product. I'm super happy with it.

BLUEBIRD Acrylic Paint Retarder 3.4 Fl. Oz.
This is kind of like a gel, which makes it nicer to use with thicker acrylics. I don't always need it, or want it, but when I'm going to be working with paints a good bit, it helps prevent them from drying while still on the pallet. The other nice thing it does is give you a bit of time for blending the paints, which don't work so well with acrylics as they do with oils. I've used another brand of retarder as well and I would have a hard time telling the difference between the two in usage and extended usage time of the paint.

Retarder adds shine to paint and doubles drying time
This retarder works well to keep the acrylic paint from drying out. I tested it with a name-brand heavy-body student acrylic paint. In the picture, the paint is untouched on the left and altered with the retarder on the right. I followed the directions of maintaining a 1 to 4 (retarder to paint) ratio. The first thing I noticed was a lack of odor. The retarder-added paint was shinier and more manageable to work with. A thin brush coating on the plate dried in ten minutes without the retarder, and with it, it finally dried over thirty minutes later. The only downside is that you need to take into account that the retarder affects the gloss of your paint. I did not test the two paint samples with varnish once dry. I was extremely pleased with the flexibility this medium gave me. It is perfect to use when blending acrylic paints on a larger canvas. It is recommended.

One of the better mediums I've used.
I got this medium because I like to do paint pours on canvas and rocks. And it's always nice to have a good medium that lets the paint slow and not a lot of bubbles. This works great for paint pouring. I would definitely buy this again.
