Genuine Dr Pen Great Price
Just complete my first facial. Very pleased with the pen. So easy to use and I’m confident that it’s high quality and safe. The device was delivered quickly and for a great price. I checked the box against the Dr Pen website and it is genuineWill need to wait and see what results it yields but happy so far. It’s been a couple of weeks since my first treatment. My skin is already so much smoother. I’m targeting the enlarged pores and I think they may be decreasing too. Loving it.

Do Your Own Research
The first thing to know, if you are thinking of buying a micro-needling pen, is that you also need to buy alcohol wipes (min 70%) to sterilise everything you might touch while doing it – the pen itself, your face, hands, mirror, working area and the bottles of anything you might put on your face afterwards. Hygiene is everything. If you don’t believe me google ‘granulomas’ and get the fright of your life. The second thing to know is that there are two types of micro-needling – cosmetic (needle depths of 0.3mm or less) and medical micro-needling (depths of 0.5mm or greater). The very strong advice from online dermatologists is not to go greater than 0.5mm depth at home. The good news is, they have recently discovered that a maximum depth of 0.3mm is more than sufficient for collagen induction. When injured in a controlled way, keratinocyte cells in the upper dermis send chemical messages to fibroblasts in the lower dermis to make more collagen. I have been micro-needling at max 0.3mm every four weeks for the past seven months, and have really had great results collagen wise, so I can confirm this to be true. Less dramatic, but slow and steady wins the race.It is not advised to use numbing cream over your ENTIRE face outside of a clinical setting. This is a fairly obvious one. Personally, I find micro-needling very nippy, even at a max depth of 0.3mm, despite what online influencers might say. I do use Emla numbing cream only around my eye and mouth areas thoughAs far as influencers go, ‘Claudia Glows’ on YouTube seems the most knowledgeable. Claudia is a beautiful French woman in her 50’s who micro-needles cosmetically once a week, and then medically once every four week. I do tend to think her skin looks a little raw on her videos, but she is very knowledgeable on the subject. ‘Doctorly’ also do a good a good video. The first time I micro-needled, my skin broke out in loads of tiny spots the next day, which is a very common reaction apparently – that nobody seems to talk about. It’s something to do with the oils in your skin being disturbed. This has lessened considerably with every treatment, but something to bear in mind if it is your first treatment. You might want to reserve an extra stay at home day.Red LED masks considerably reduce redness/inflammation afterwards. Just be sure to sterilise the mask before with an alcohol wipe before resting it on your face after micro-needling.I really like the Dr Pen. It works for me, easy to use and has given me great results, used cautiously. Do Your Own Research. I wanted to share what I have learned, as there is just so much misinformation out there. Hope you found this helpful. Happy micro-needling.
