One shoe did not work at all. Birthday present and this really sucks.UPDATE: I wanted to update this because I want to let everyone know how to fix this if your shoes arrive seemingly defective. I asked my techy son to check on it because he works on computers and wires; thought I would have him check it out before I returned these. He immediately said yes, it was just the battery unplugged. So, this is what you do: take the inside padding out, fold over the second layer until you see the battery and there are two cords which should be plugged in. You may have to search a bit to find the second half of it. I was worried about ordering these, but I bought two other sets for my other kids and they are still working. There's a lot of reviews of the shoes not working after a few times, I am thinking it may just be the battery wires coming loose. I hope this helps someone.

I got two pairs,one for my 11yr old daughter and her 9yr old brother. These are pretty cool shoes! They are exactly as pictured. They look like shiny, reflective gold! They are also uset friendly. Each shoe has a tiny button tab on the inside toward the laces. So while they are on you can still reach the little tab to change the color. They come with a charging cord. The cord is like a usb and can be plugged in into a play station or any phone charger thing. They do not come with the actual outlet plug but like I said they fit into any usb port. The cord is split into two for dual charging so both shoes can be charged simultaniously. The colors are: rd,grn,blue,ylw/grn,lt blue,pinkish prpl,white,flashing white. The colors fade into each other and flash on the last setting. I would say it takes up to 2 1/2 hrs to charge. My kids love these shoes, they get lots of compliments and I payed about 30 bucks less than what they wanted at the mall. It does say on the shoes not to wear them when it's too wet. I make sure if its rainin or if the snow has gotten really slushy, they do not wear them out. I would say if there was a con to these shoes, that's the only one. They could easily change into them at school. They love them and I'm happy. Definitely recommend these! I also bought two other styles, the green and black with the wings and the black and white high tops.

Pros- both shoes work(kinda:see cons)- colors and lights are bright as heck- comfortable- the shoes themselves are well madeCons- one shoe has only three different colors and three light sequences- other shoes has 7 different colors and 4 light sequences- usb cable is super short- The faux leather or whatever the material is looks fantastic for about a day or two and once you get creases that's it. Hobo shoes.- after my sixth time wearing them the lights in the shoe that only had three lights completely went out.

I got one and a half nights of use out of these. They were such a hit with my friends that three other people ordered them as well. Every single pair broke the same way - the little charge port with the control button on it that sticks up near the tongue of the shoe - it develops a short in the wires. I'm handy with tools and soldering irons, and I was willing to just open up the housing, resolder it, and keep them forever. Nope. The housing is molded into a single piece. Can't be opened without destroying it. The short develops quickly. Moving around the charge cable very gently can get it to take a charge for a few minutes, but there is no way to permanently fix them once the short develops. Sucks, cuz if there were an option that cost a little more but wasn't made to such ridiculously poor standards, I would have gladly paid the extra to get a pair worth keeping. But nope. Returned as soon as I realized they couldn't be fixed.

These shoes came in perfect condition in a week and a half with the free shipping option. They were a tiny bit smaller and they are narrow so I would suggest getting a half or whole size bigger! My son is 12 and he loves these everyone is asking him where he got his shoes! And that was just today since we recieved them so I am expected many more compliments. They have about 8 light options and a blinking option as well. The lights stay on constantly but they do have a button to turn them off. They came with one charging chord as well. I will come back with a review of how they hold up in a month. They are good quality and super shiny since we bought the silver ones!

Epic and super bright with a lot of light motion options and colors. Got them as a fun item to wear as a joke when we go places; I suppose people actually wear these as everyday shoes. If that is the case, the opposing velcro that the straps attach to is super short making that part of the shoe useless. I attached a GIF I sent to a friend that will show 2 out of the many light options.

The shoes look as the picture shows and the lights on the bottom of the shoes are super fun. They light up many different was and they work great. The downside to the shoe is they are uncomfortable. I only have to wear them for a short period of time, so I’ll be ok. But if I had to wear these all day, for example, I’d probably have blisters in my inner ankle area. Probably going to wear pads just to make them less uncomfortable....they rub.

My son wanted gold hightops. There are a few options out there, but we decided on these because they were comparably priced to the other options, and they came quickly. Once he got them, we found out they're pretty great. They fit nicely. There's a charging cable in each sneaker that allows them to plug into a usb cord. We have to charge them every night, and by the end of the school day, they're out of juice and don't light up anymore.We've had them for a month already without problem. They get worn to school almost every day. But they don't get used at recess or in gym class. SO they've held up well.
