This cart made it possible for me to move in to a third-floor apartment with no elevator. Two years later, it's working great. But, I had the same problem others have mentioned: when the wheels hit metal stair risers, it hits with a noisy "bang" with every step. I bought these rubber wheel covers and it solved the problem:EZONTEQ Luggage Wheel Covers, 12 Pcs Silicone Luggage Cover Protector Suitcase Wheel Covers, Wear-Resistant, Anti-Noise Wheel Covers for Luggage, Suitcases or Office Chair Caster Wheels. They're adhesive, but I needed to add a little glue.

This has been helpful for some errands/shopping of heavy items because wheeling it home is less painful on my back than trying to carry things in a knapsack or shopping bags. But it's not the smoothest or quietest to use on the apartment building stairs. And my biggest problem is that when tilting it in order to walk home, items at the bottom slide forward and cause the bag to drag on the ground. There should be a rod across the back/back piece to hold the bottom portion of the bag in place. I don't use it often because of this design/use flaw. I make more frequent trips with my knapsack or end up using grocery delivery for heavy items. This item did not quite live up to my hopes.

It is a great stair climer but the handle is not long enough.You have to bend over going up and down stairs. Great for stairs!
