Alpha's Threesome (Chasing The Hunters Book 3)

The 3rd book in this series has hunters Lucas and Shaun along with kitsune shifter Nic, chasing after a secret collective of hunters called the brotherhood. Fearing the worst they decide to investigate and the adventure begins. One of my favourite tv shows was supernatural and this series is a take on that theme if Sam and Dean were lovers not brothers. You get all the action , a touch of humour curtesy of Nic and the hot sex you expect from a Noah Harris book. I’m still not sure how the dynamics of the 3 will work out and if they will become a true triad but I can’t wait to find out. As this is the 3rd book you really need to have read the 2 previous book to follow the story and I would recommend you do.I am voluntarily reviewing an advance readers copy of this book.

Well, we are slowly getting to the romance. Just as Shaun, Lucas and Nic are getting closer to finding out more about the Brotherhood, we are seeing them get closer too (a threesome in this one in fact). We also find out a little more about Nic, which is also a good thing. There is some action in this but mostly infiltration and undercover work with no real answers as yet to what is going on with the Hunters and between Shaun and Lucas. This is what you would call a slow ride I think, but an enjoyable one all the same. Looking forward to the next instalment.

The third book in the series continues the growing relationship of hunters Lucas and Shaun and Nicolai the kitsune shifter. Lucas and Shaun have been partners and sometimes lovers for years and the friendship of all three deepens in this story; and yes... there’s a hot threesome! The introduction of a third lover can feel wrong as the emotional leap is often not believable, but this one works for me as the two hunters haven’t yet admitted their love to each other, It'll be interesting to see what happens later if they do.Thankfully there is more emotion in book 3 than book 2 but it’s not professed love, which I'm still waiting not so patiently for. The plot covers treachery and betrayal but also reveals Nic's past which I found very moving. There’s a bit less action than previous books in the series but that's ok as is made up for by the thrilling plot involving rogue hunter collective, the Brotherhood.There are multiple unresolved plot details left hanging, which I hope will be resolved in book 4, although the immediate plot is resolved the subplots are not, there’s a cliff hanger of sorts and as such this can’t really be read as a stand-alone. This book has a solid, often emotional plot and very loveable, well defined characters but the continued lack of communication and commitment between Shaun and Lucas is wearing thin and I'm not a fan of cliffhangers, hence 4*s. Note I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Book three in this series continues to build the anticipation between the three men, Lucas, Shaun and Nik. Learning more about their backgrounds and their reasons for who they are now, is written with empathy and gives a lovely insight to the three men’s character.The storyline is exciting, with subplots adding a twist, it gives me great pleasure in reading their story. Other characters in the book are brought to life and given their own characterisation.I highly recommend this book, it is a real page turning tale, filled with passion.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
