This was an unconventional use, but I used these to faster a mid-sized tool box into the bed of my truck. I have a tonneau cover over the bed, and didn't want a visible tool box to tempt thieves, so mounting a hidden tool box in the covered bed was my best option. I drilled holes in the tool box and mounted it to a fixed railing in the bed. That way, if I ever need the entire bed for some other use, I sply press the buttons and temporarily remove the tool box. So far, these have been great!

These little things are built really well and I'm impressed on there quality. Will buy again if I need more.

I got these Doaho hood pins to replace the wood screws the previous owner of my car used to fit the bumper. Install was easy. Choose location, drill holes, mount pins and install button. I had both of them installed in less than an hour. Took longer to adjust so they would lock and stay locked. At first a little tug would make them release. Now it takes some pressure. These make taking my bumper on and off for maintenance or towing a breeze now. They look and feel well made. Should last longer than my car. Also glad they came in a pack of eight at a great price. Can use them on my other cars when needed.

These stop working after a few times. These suck. They are awful. Do not buy

i was hoping to use these to allow quick access to the space under the driver seat of our Yamaha Rmax4 as currently it requires pulling body clips and screws to access all the space. but these were too long and wouldn’t work

These are cool little latches. They have a very firm engagement and seem to be surprisingly strong. The body in them is all metal and they are anodized so they look very clean. They aren’t huge, but for smaller cars that shouldn’t likely be an issue. I’m a little hesitant to use them for a hood, but that doesn’t mean they won’t work. I got them to use for custom gloveboxes and storage compartments on my rock crawler. The only down slide to these is the stickers they put to keep them from getting scratched leave a nasty residue on the button when removed. Otherwise, no complaints!
