Kinda cheap feeling, but hey....it was cheap in price
I grabbed this on prime day for cheap (under $10). I always hated soldering connections because they always separate before i can put a glob of solder on the wires. It should be easier now, but i dont really know how this will do with heavier gauge wires.I also wish the base was a bit heavier, i think they are banking on the 3AA batteries being a bit of ballast.

I've been wanting to get one of these for quite awhile. Since I want to solder my own guitar pups and controls I decided it was time. This is a nice rugged setup and I'm sure it'll last a long time.

Short neck for magnifying glass, light switch didn’t work
Light switch didn’t work, neck for magnifying glass was too short. I returned it.

Not heavy enough to be stable. Arms won't stay in place even when fully tightened. One Alligator clip already came apart. Waste of money by something else.
