A practical and comprehensive introduction to accident investigation
This book is based on the author's course and this shows in a positive way because the book has a focussed and practical feel, ideal for someone who needs to know about how to investigate accidents or to improve their knowledge. It will appeal to managers who wish to understand how accident investigation should be handled and to people who are required to investigate accidents and wish to learn how to do this or to extend their basic knowledge. A particular feature is the use of basic psychology to explain why people take risks, do not use the safety equipment provided and are reluctant sometimes to report accidents. There are useful links to resources, mostly free, and a useful list for further reading. As a manager who has had responsibility for a health and safety team I would reccommend this as a good introduction to the subject.
