Writing Now with 2009 MLA and 2010 APA Updates: Shaping Words and Images

I would give this book 5 stars, but you can not view this book with the windows 8 version of the kindle software, however it does work with the Windows 7 software. Other than that it is a good book, and helpful for the class I took.

The book was shipped in good time and in great condition. It was very pleasant buying from this seller.

I liked the essays and reports, but felt that compared to some of my other college text books that this one was a little dry. I found it hard to keep my attention on the book, which is not typical of me when reading (even textbooks).

This was a book required for a class my husband took, sell back is low but the book was very informative.

Ridiculous use of examples.Obviously a California raised liberal drinking the koolaid...stupid articles and pieces.Some crybaby writer herein promoting Al Gore as the savior of all -- that global warming haters are just ignorant...(when disproved by data by signed letter of many thousands of REAL SCIENTIST/METEOROLOGISTS, etc.; while Gore racks in the dough trying to peddle his bilge). Good for a laugh of how gullible some are...especially when you don't have the smarts to get the real facts.VERY hard to get past the other silly articles to take serious any of it's suggestions on writing a paper.Found better information online for writing papers than here.ONE GOOD THING: Glad did not waste more money by buying for English class at college.Gets one star for photo on front cover...as can't get less than 1 star.

Good book for English class

This review is more for Amazon's eTextbook program and less for this particular book. I got this book because it was more than half the price through amazon than the bookstore at my college and getting the solid book online. But, I had to drop the class two days into the semester because of scheduling conflicts. That is when I found out that You cannot refund for a rental return no matter how early you return it to Amazon. I will probably never be doing that again, no matter how cheap the book is, because you never know if you will need to drop a class.
