Lasted 2 years only AFTER I sealed it
The bottom of the turtle form or “mold” has a screw on like a lid to a jar of pickles which is embedded and glued in the body of the turtle mold. That part had gaps between the turtle mold and the screw on lid as it came - from factory. The first time in, the pool water leaked inside the turtle mold and the whole thing sank. Could have returned it but kept it as I’m handy and figured out easy fix. I poured some epoxy in these gaps to seal the jar lid that’s embedded inside the underside of the turtle mold to make it water tight . There is also a tiny vent hole in the turtle’s head/nose which I plugged with silicon caulk. Then it worked well. Now it’s 2 seasons later and the plastic cup that holds the chlorine tabs (the cup that screws into the underbelly jar lid) has now cracked. I can probably super glue it but I just bought a different one. It’s Cheap china plastics, however I still Got 2+ years of use after I found it on sale for $11. Probably worth half of that considering the sealing I had to do upfront…..but fun to see a turtle floating around in the pool and kids like the novelty. 1 year of use is about what I expected to get out of it, so I guess it outlasted my expected time of use.

Your going to need to glue it🤦♀️
I bought this as a replacement for my original one, and while it does float around holding the tablets (as it should), You're gonna need to glue the greenish bottom piece on, if you want it to stay.🤷♀️I have fished it out of my skimmer DAILY after reattaching it. (Yes, I made sure it was secure before putting it back in the water). Somehow, it works its way off. 🤷♀️ So my suggestion, if you purchase this is to make sure you know where you want it, and glue it together before ever adding tablets.

Turtle needs some help!
As cute as it is for the kids, the turtle needs some help level floating. Even with several chlorine tablets in the container it has problems remaining level. It appears the tablet container does not always screw in evenly. This more of a visual esthetic than a functional matter. It continues to allow water in to dissolve the tablets
