Beep is not annoying in pitch and the beeps will continue to reminder user to take pills and which day’s pills to take until user interacts with unit.Once you set the alert time, the unit will beep for next 5 minutes. Then stop until 25 minutes later when the alert resumes. So if alert is set for 5 pm for example, the unit will beep and flash a red light inside the current day’s pull box until 5:05 pm. Ideally the alert will be heard and pulls will be consumed within that first alert time. Then user hits ‘next alert’ button to end alert for the day and the unit will advance to following day’s schedule of 5 pm. In other words, when the ‘next alert’ button is pressed, the unit will not chime again until the next day at preset time (5 pm) Pls note that the user can hit the ‘next alert’ button without taking the pills. This unit doesn’t know if pills are actually removed from daily box or not.The cool part is If the user misses the 5 pm alert in this example, the unit will beep again at 5:30 pm until 5:35pm. This pattern of every 30 minutes continues (6 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm, etc) until hopefully the alert is heard, the pills are taken and ‘next alert’ button is pressed. Then the next alert will chime the next day at the scheduled time of 5:00 pm.

Patient SO much better at taking meds — worth the cost!
I help care for a family member with mild dementia who lives mostly independently. This item has been a game changer in helping ensure they take medicine on time, every time. This person has a smart phone, but a phone alarm doesn’t guide them to the pills they need to take, and person is easily distracted between location of phone and location of pills. I just fill it once a week and confirm that nothing was left behind, which it rarely is unless pill is something like vitamin D that can stick to the inside of container. Has been using ~9 months and we just added a second one so we now have 4x/day. If I could change one thing, I’d make each individual pill container 50% larger. This ability to take meds on time has contributed to zero ER visits since we got it. Previously, ER visit every 4 to 6 months. Worth the cost, for sure.
