4Kg of epoxy mortar kit, in a free swinging handled yellow, sealed lidded plastic tub.Wear disposable gloves, goggles and a face mask.Heed what you are wearing before working with this reasonably fast drying mortar, that is not easy to remove from clothing.Work in an open, well ventilated area.The contents are a sealed plastic bag of dry sand/cement, measured mixture and a sealed plastic tub of epoxy resin with a smaller sealed plastic tub of hardener.Also a plastic spray bottle of Acetone used for cleaning tools after use.The spray needed several pumping attempts to produce a spray used to clean trowels and drill mixing paddle.Remember that environmental conditions affect setting times.Instructions/information are printed on the outer tub.Prepare and clean up the area for the final mixture to be applied to.I used mine to bond an old crack in the back garden's solid concrete path.This is the only type of product that I have found withstands heavy daily use.Top tip is to use a paddle driven by an electric drill to prepare the mixture inside the outer plastic tub/bucket.Mix the Epoxy resin and hardener together thoroughly, inside the larger of the two enclosed tubs.Pour the epoxy mixture swiftly into the sand/cement mixture that has been poured into the largest yellow outer tub/bucket.Mix rapidly but thoroughly with an electric drill mixer paddle.Use a slow speed but be thorough and as quick as necessary.The resultant mixture is ready to be applied.Push as much possible and deeply as you are to into the crack, etc. before packing/plugging the space with a trowel.Finnish off and smooth as much as possible.The mixed substance is grainy and not easy to apply, unlike traditional mortar.Leave and protect the repair for a minimum of 24 hrs. before initial use.Hardens approximately within one week.During the drying stage, you often get small crumbly pieces, if these have not been smooth into the wet mixture.See the photographs.This is an expensive general sized Epoxy cement repair kit, that works, lasting a long time and without the need to keep maintaining weather worn cement repairs.
