Great compatibility!
I run a Home server using an old Intel i7 motherboard with16gb of ram, I am using this kit to upgrade it it to 32gb of DDR3 1600. My motherboard is very picky as to what ram it likes, but, this installed perfect! even with my current 16gb (2x8gb) of standard DDR3 1600mhz, this kit is DDR3L which just means lower voltage(1.2v rather than 1.5v) I could not pass up the value! No complaints! Works as it should even with my motherboard! This a great upgrade for that aging system! Breathe a bit of new life in to those older systems. Nothing fancy about these Dimms, just basic Ram! No LEDs, no flashy heatsinks, perfect for my server which is tucked away in the basement AV rack. I will say the Black PCB does look nice. Don't trash that older system! Put it to use! You would be surprised how good these older ddr3 systems still work with just a bit more Ram, and a SATA SSD!Highly Recommend!
