Some good, some bad
Update - added a starTo my amazement the heart rate compares very well with my Garmin bike computer & chest strap - a 40km ride was mapped perfectly and the distance and metres climbed were not far off the Garmin either! The weather forecasts also agree quite well with my favourite Android app.So for the money its surprisingly good; I've only dropped it to 4 stars because the sleep tracking is nowhere near as good as my wife's Fitbit.Original review -Its a nice waterproof watch with some useful features but it falls down in areas the that I bought it for -Its telling me my heart rate is 74 bpm right now even though its lying on the table and has been for more than an hour; the MiFit app even shows a graph with my heart rate varying during that time.I've used it for two nights and both times it told me I had no periods awake even though I got up for the bathroom both nights.I'm going for a bike ride later and will update the review after that.

A little treasure!
Amazing value! My son has an Apple Watch but I like to torment him with my battery life being over a month (it really is!)It does everything I need, heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, cycling monitor, steps etc etc etc!It doesn’t look as flash as an Apple Watch and isn’t as slick (think Mercedes v Hyundai). But it does everything well enough for me!

Nice design, comfortable to wear, HIGHLY functional and EXCELLENT battery life. Very much worth the price.
Had it a few days, already I can see this is substantially better than Pebble were, it looks like an Apple watch and is very comfortable around the wrist all day. Nice transflective screen that can be seen in all situations, it also illuminates. THOUSANDS of watch faces out there, just search online for 'amazfit bip watchfaces'. Records steps, heart rate, distance travelled, burned calories and inactivity. Can do sleep etc. etc. I think it's all standard fitness tracking stuff. Also has the week's weather forecasts, alarms, timers and compass, phone notifications etc. The Mi App takes some initial figuring out and setting up, but it's not complicated and it can update Google Fit.I've been playing with it for a few days, the battery has hardly gone down, it appears to have AMAZING battery life.

Would be a good present for a teen, not so much a working adult
Nice watch, it doesn't feel cheap and has a lot of features. However, the step counter is faulty. It showed I had walked 4000+ steps (when in reality I had walked about 3 to my car). If you're wearing it sitting down, it counts steps then too. I have two young kids so I'm sitting a lot to play with them so don't need the watch counting each time my hand goes up. Also the heart rate is inaccurate. Tested this with my husband who goes to the gym and he confirmed it.Swiping through the screens can be a bit laggy. Annoying, especially when there were lots of notifications and going through them would just be slow. When there is a call coming in, there are options for 'Ignore' and 'Hang up' show but you can't actually hang up. The phone just keeps ringing.Overall, bought this as a cheaper alternative to the FitBit smartwatches but I don't think it's there yet. Maybe in a few years.

Not Android Wear, but that's its greatest strength
The watch is no smarter than it needs to be. This is the whole reason it is great. Not having all the android wear bells and whistles means:- the battery lasts 3-4 weeks between charges- an-always on screen that's easy to see- it's lightweightThese three things totally make the experience so much better than an android wear watch. You don't have to charge it for 3-4 weeks, you don't have to wave your arm about or click a button to see the time. You'll probably sleep with it on like I do.The best functions of the watch are the step counter, the timer, the alarm, and messages coming through. In particular the timer is very cool, because you can start it up in a matter of seconds, and it'll quietly let you know when it's done without you having to find your phone, unlock it and turn the timer off. It's great for cooking, in particular. Messages showing up on the screen is a great plus, and between that and the timer, those were the only things I used an android wear watch for when I used to have one.The build quality is nice and solid, but quite lightweight so it does feel a bit cheap. At a glance however it's easy to mistake for an apple watch, and the curved glass front does look good.If you want to sacrifice some battery life, you can make it a lot smarter with an app Tools & Amazfit, which lets you set multiple clicks of the button as triggers for Tasker automation.I never go anywhere without it now. It's really excellent and I'd highly recommend it.

Comfortable, good-looking item
When ordering, I was a bit sceptical if a product at this price could really work. And it does! Comfortable, good-looking item. Shows caller ID, also messages, Messenger etc content. Would recommend to anyone who does not need all the bells and whistles of the high-end smartwatch and just the basic functionality at reasonable price.

Great smart watch
I have had this watch for about three months now and I have only had to charge it twice so the battery life is great, but I don't use many of the fitness features and I have turned of the e:mail notifications as I get a lot of e:mails and it does get annoying after a while. I love the amount of watch faces you can have with this watch but there is a separate app that you need for those (Amazfit Bip &Cor Watch faces).

What a brilliant bit of kit!
I absolutely love my Bip. Ridiculously long battery life, customisable watch faces, sleep pattern analysis, heart rate analysis, GPS, phone call and text alerts, what is there not to like? If I were to be completely pedantic, the original watch faces are pants and the font on the messages is too small and faint, but I discovered that all these things can be changed if you delve into the depths of the internet and download a new watch face (see pic) or a new font! this smart watch is Worth Every Penny.
