Nothing to dislike. Beautiful pictures and very nice information

I knew the photography and the tips would be exceptional. But what I was surprised by was the storytelling. I just loved how the authors tell the stories of their clients’ gardens. It was really inspiring to read and I felt moved to add more meaning to the things I plant in my garden!

I just received this book and I spent two hours reading and looking at all the inspiring, pretty pictures. I stopped buying gardening books a while back but on recommendation from Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat, I'm so happy with my purchase. Well written and numerous, beautiful photographs.

This book of luscious gardens will inspire all homeowners who want to improve their "outdoor homes" and will become a landmark contribution to future landscape architecture.

This book contains some beautiful photos of different garden types but has limited useful content for someone who is looking for technical garden design information. This is a coffee table book to encourage people to garden. Lovely pictures, very basic information.

Each time I pick up Leslie and Julie’s book, I find inspiration, new and interesting plant combinations, helpful guidance, and stunning beauty. Especially useful for our (re)design of a semi-mature garden on an Oakland hill. A must-have garden book! - Amy S

I really enjoyed this garden book and I suspect I will be turning to it often. The photos are beautiful and offer lots of inspiration, and the writing is inviting and encouraging.The descriptions of the featured gardens are personal and convey how much the owners appreciate and value their yards. The book captures a delight in the experience of gardening that I loved.The focus on plants/softscape and the details provided on specific plants in the photos make this book practical, probably for any type of gardener. (Some books have gorgeous landscaping but it’s pretty tough to translate to smaller scales and budgets. That’s not the case here.) I like the mix of low water focus with edibles. I’ve never tried the latter besides herbs but I believe this book has convinced me to go for it.In short, excellent book, highly recommend!
