Q: Does this model come with a tray in the bottom of the unit?

No it does not, nice looking pressure cooker but everything sticks to it. Timing is very difficult to judge on theis pressure cooker. Not happy with product. I am definatley buying another type . Just not satisfied.

Q: How can I get a copy of the owners manual

Google the manufacture and ask customer service.

Yes , make small fires. Flames should only contact the bottom of the pot. Do not let flames go up the sides of the pot / they could damage the seal in the top of the pot.
